  • Oh my fucking god! How beautiful! I love it. This probably is one of my most favorite Alexander McQueen collections.

  • There needs to be a McQueen museum, or at least a travelling exhibition of his work... I would love to see his runway collections with my own eyes.

  • Holy shit did they just play Paint it Black at the end? Ahhh this was the perfect show. Thank you so much for posting this. I think it is one of my favourite collections of all time! RIP McQueen.

    que pasara...

    la creacion a muerto.

  • most beautiful runway EVER!!!!

  • te amo McQueen por que te tenias que suizidar, te amare por siempre desde MÉXICO.

  • What's the name of the otchestra???

  • i just have a quick question. "where do these designers place all of these wonderful works of art after they show them on the runway,? Is their a special museum or room that hangs all of these wonderful clothes?"

  • Lovely sentiment! : )

The samples are sent around to publications, and I believe are also loaned to celebrities for PR. McQueen sends the couture pieces to his boutiques, where they are displayed (in NYC, at least) in an antique glass case.

If something this beautiful can exist in the world, perhaps there's hope.

  • also to add to that, i believe that there is a team of fashion experts that take these designs and sort of "simplify" them and make a line of clothing that is more wearable and affordable, and those are one sold in stores... correct me if im wrong please!

  • I believe you are wrong. McQueen produced the more extreme, editorial pieces (the jellyfish gowns, the garments made from antique textiles) which were "showpieces", and less extreme items (the jackets, the trousers) for his shops and independent boutiques. Price reduction isn't usually a consideration.

The "simplifiers" sound more like the team at H&M (and the like) who reduce the design of runway garments so they may produce a cheaper version of the runway garment.

  • @Thiskid09 After the show they all going to a show room, so the designer can show them for the client

  • @Thiskid09 i don´t know for Mcqueen´s work...but Dior has it´s own museum....all Christian Dior and John Galiano´s work especially Haute couture are keeped there...or the couture clients buy theme.....

  • @Thiskid09 : they do keep some designs for future referrences

  • @Thiskid09 alexander mcqueen -> has a exhibition atm or was a while ago. called savage beauty go look it up.

  • Amazing show. Love Tanya at the end in that showstopper.

  • This man is so wonderful.. He and Galliano could be a perfect duo.. lol
