What is the ideal state then... living naked in the trees? Some comforts must be required for expanding consciousness also. Being well provided for gives one time to think abstractly (about logic and philosophy and psychology and sociology and art and other forms of problem solving). Total discomfort would provide the mind with little motivation besides feeding hunger and finding shelter. Perhaps Andre means to strike a balance somewhere, between total comfort and total discomfort.
Well, to philosophize is to attempt to comprehend reality, versus illusions, delusions, hallucinations, con jobs, false rhetoric, and mere unfounded beliefs, etc.
So---of course---if one regards them as all the same, there is no need to philosophize. It would be entirely superfluous, given such a perception of the world. And then one might as well be drunk, on an acid trip, doing heroine, or whatever one otherwise chooses---if---such distinctions are regarded as irrelevant.
These two dorks are sitting down philosophizing like a couple of philosophers. They are fulfilling a role too. They are not more enlightened. Any two of my friends sucking down Buds on a Tuesday afternoon, while their wives are shopping in town are just as enlightened as these guys.
For the record I was not exactly sober whey I wrote that comment and sometimes even doubt that I wrote it. One day I get this message from RandersonDivady and I was like what? I don't even remember writing that. It's actually kind of funny.
