This version of Hair was fantastic (saw 5 times). Kyle Harris' voice was somehow perfect for the part. I also saw it on Broadway with Gaven. Singers were better on Broadway, but somehow this AZ version was more effective. The sets were different and the ending was more intense. I felt more.
I just got home from seeing Kyle Harris as Tony in the national. tour of West Side Story. Good role for him. Voice is improved, but still alot of vibrato.

vibrato is good, but Claude has way too much
too much vibrato can sometimes get a note or two off key which happened once or twice here
that being said, it was a strong performance. the acting and emotion were all there at 150%

Kyle's performance during Hair (aside from the simple power of the ensemble and their voices) definitely made the power of Hair for me. I was so taken back after "Where Do I Go?" and this finale. On retrospect, I can definitely say that that was all Kyle.

claude has an amazing voice but i don't think his style fits claude and this show i think he has more of a pop voice than a broadway voice but he does have a phenomenal voice
