The first car was a Ford..... It was probably stock, and therefore that's why he took off slowly... He can't go any faster! The second guy was stalling up, not messing around.
I see now. Good observation. The race official never should have walked up to the car. I guess he didn't hear the car reving because he had the headset on.
@JayZoop BTW "stalling" means reving the engine to get the Torque converter or clutch semi engaged so the wheels are ready to receive all the torque which in turn gives you a better time.

Unknown.... it was a short clip featured on a "Hot4's" disc from years ago....
I suspect, from the sound, that it's the 2.6 Astron turbo... as for times.... no idea.
