is this a good pedal for really heavy distortion. like with mids cut out compleatly and bass and treble set up all the way and dist all the way. like how heavy is it. i cant decide between this and the electro harmonix metal muff.

Plenty of scope in terms of overdrive with the pedal, doesn't need to just do metal. You'd be fine with the Mayhem I'd say.

get the blackstar HT Dual. It is a tube pedal that sounds just like a Marshall, but the gain ranges anywhere from twang blues to extreme metal.

is this an overdrive pedal or and distortion pedal cuz a friend of mine recentlly got one and he can only get half as much gain from it as you can and he doesnt know if its due to the power adaptor the maehym came with or its just an internal problem in it please so the question is , is the seymour duncan maehym an overdrive or and distorion pedal? please help my friend out demostration videos.

I got a Fender twin Reverb '75 Silver Face. In your opinion I could get an hard core, trash metal sound with the mayhem and a Les paul standard dropped in Db. The twin have one channel and 135 w rms. Thanks
