  • how long does it take to learn all this I am already confused how this works.

  • @thebighat99

You have to install Ubuntu Linux, that's a whole other operating system that can be installed into a computer that already has either Windows or MacOSX. Once Ubuntu is isntalled, you can go to the applications menu and select "add / remove". Install "Jack Control" and "Patchage". Start up Jack Control, and copy the settings I had in a previous video. Start Jack. Then run Patchage (which is like working with patch cords). The rest is intuitive, just plugging stuff together.

  • @thebighat99 BTW, you can get Jack for the Mac, but I'm not sure if Patchage was ported. In patchage, any program that you run that is compatible with Jack, it will put patch-boxes into patchage. Once it is there, you can just connect anything to anything else. Boxes with green stuff are MIDI channels. Boxes with blue stuff are Audio channels. You can only connect boxes of same color. The boxes inside the boxes are either inputs (left aligned) or outputs (right aligned).
