I think that's the pier at Manhattan Beach - the Pier at Hermosa no longer has the street right there - it's all pedestrian at 2nd Street to the pier in Hermosa. The dunes are north of Manhattan Pier. The beginning was the numbered streets on the Strand at Hermosa Beach.
