Elements are part of the chinese astrology and feng shui. Google your sign and it should come up on Wikipedia which element you are, either fire, water, earth, metal or wood. Some r good for you others not so,such as fire weakens water but water strengthens wood etc...

So, for example I am a metal rooster, a rooster sign comes around every 12 years but metal roosters every 60 years as every 12 years the rooster must rotate between the elements...
