This women points to the abdominal muscles -- that is not the diaphragm. The diaphragm is a muscle that is parallel to the ground, not perpendicular to it. She, like so many other "voice experts" does not know what she is talking about. You should not "hit" high notes.

You shouldn't think of "hitting" high notes. Most people use too much tension to "hit" high notes. There really are no such thing as "high" notes. There is literally no "high" and "low" in singing. The cords stretch for "high" notes and get shorter for "low" notes. You feel "high" or "low" sensations, but that is a result of acoustics, nothing physiological. High notes should be practiced by relaxing, giving air, and stretching open. They strengthen over time. I have a doctorate and teach voice.

I want to sing rock songs, most of you should know Linkin Park. I want to know how I can sing really loud like Chester Bennington (the lead singer) does in the songs, you know at the very peaks of the songs where he REALLY empowers his voice.

How can I do that? Every time I try to do it and not just in Linkin Park songs I just end up shouting it stupidly or becoming light headed.

It's not about raising the voice, vocal editing after recording makes musicians (most the time) sound louder in certain parts of a song. The musician, like Chester, sings by raising notes instead of raising voice. If you only raise the note, and use proper breaths, then you won't crack or become light headed. The problem sounds to me like you're screaming, exerting a lot of energy, when singing is about being relaxed.
