I hope you arent gonna make that car a ricer, it looks like it so far lol. Forget the Neon, and go with a sleeper, but first throw a 5 speed in there =)
Hey racerty1 nice setup but have to ask did you upgrade the alternator? I'm just asking because I had a 1990 Carolla and had a crappy 4 channel 1200 watt ya right Boss amp and fried my alternator. And the amp only had one 30 amp fuse!! Later
No we didnt mess with anything power wise (minus running the 4gauge power wire from the battery which is an optima red top) I would say from a semi-professional standpoint that your altenator didnt go because of anything from your sound system it just went from generasl wear and tear. When you pull more power than the altenator can put out all it does (in gradual levels depending on output of the altenator and your needs for accecories power levels)
that can effect is, at a little more than it can handle it will dim your headlights dash lighting etc, then if you get into the higher power range it can actually pull so much that you deprive ythe car of power and it will die leaving you with a dead battery and in need of a jump start. lol. When you pull power from a altenator the car strives to maintain a voltage in your battery of 11.5-14.5 volts when it is in range it can engage a clutch allowing the altenator to spin freely
if you are constantly pulling power from the battery at high volumes the battery cant maintain voltage properly causing the altenator to stay engaged longer inbetween power surges during the lower notes First thing to do when powering a high system is upgrade your battery to a premium or maybe consider (this is ony at MAJOR power levels) an extra Deep Cycle battery in the trunk or somewhere. better batter can recharge faster and allow the altentor less stress. if that doesnt get it...rplc altntr
I have a 94 camry V6 sport, was it hard to instal the underglow? And how do they work, do they atomaticaly turn on with the car? Or is there a switch inside the car you can turn them on/off with, like if a cops driving buy, cause there illigul were im from,
no it was not hard to install just get a jack and some stands (dont want the jack to give and cursh you under the car) you run a wire into the car per the door jamb or main wiring harnes (we just ran it into his car through the same hole his sound systems power wire runs into because it already had a grommet and everything in it where we put it in it goes into a on/off switch then back to the converter box that comes with it. and the neon tubes just screw into the frame rail on the car
However instead of a switch you could wire it into a 4 prong relay and into your circuit for your headlight switch so they come on when your lights are on it wouldnt take much extra to do that so they are automatic and you could leave your switch inline so you can still kill them if you had to.
neons were going to be hidden by the body kit...donesnt anyone pay attention to the actual video abou7t his neon...it specficaly says "ging to be hidden by the body kit" but o well..he took them off now and no..the new sub is way louder than the old ones...
yea but that one sub alone will handle over 2000 and thats only at like 600w or so during break in and its not a box in the video its just sitting on the one sheet of mdf you seen in the rear seat video. imagine if built into its own box and fed the right power ;-)
nice set up so far i cant wait to hear what the rest of your system is going to sound like but im curious im about to run 2 P3's in my car and im kinda short on money and the cheapest thing i can run it off of is a 2000watt legacy amp but im very questionable about the brand
you should get the rockford fosgate 10001bd the older version not the newer one because it pushes more than the new one if you can get it because i used to have 2 P3s running off of it and it sounded incredible
they were made terrible, to get mediocre sound you have to insulate the fuck out of it. and there are alot better lookin cars, just as cheap to maintain and tune, as that. just seems like a waste of money. nice ass system+cheap ass car=waste of money. just an opinion.
thanks. I think i know where the money is though, havent had time to get ot it yet, but i will as soon as we get into tearing out the IP and everything else. we gotta fix soemthing with his a/c so ill be in the general area of the coin i hope.
dont get a boss amp.... just a little for-warning i say try and pick up on a nice sundown amp, of u can always run 2 RF T10001BD to the subs... just not boss... check out my T2 if u wanna...
ya i keep trying to talk him into a lanzar amp. Thats what im getting to run in my new system (idk what subs yet look for around 200 or less a pop though i no im cheap XD) well see what happens when he gets the other sub. ^_^
ARe you a homo? neons look good on anything as long as you know how to build the kit around them. Get a life stop badgering people vids with retarded comments.
hey gay, think before you decide to bash my ride. its a one of a kind and i gaurantee that itll smash your piece of shit. and learn to fuckin spell camry right before you make any comments.
i mod my car the way i want. anyone who thinks different, well theyre just wrong.
wow thats alot better bro, those he's or whatever are getting kicked in the ass by this setup:) which amp are u using and which sub please? and if you know.......what amp alternator do you have in the car? any electrical problems. it looks and sounds great man.
The sub in it (only have 1 of 2 subs for now) is a Rockford Fosgate Power T2, amp is a Sony 1000 watt idk what model number is on the amp though and the altenator is the standard for a 1994 camry at 75 or 80 amps i think.
I have about the same size alt. in my car and amjust about to get an amp but am torn on what brand and size to go with. Are you running just one amp in your car? How many ohms?
Were only running one amp right now, its a Sony 1100W(yea all you haters shutup its clean so leave your comments to yourselves) its runnning bridged from the amp at 1ohm and is looped through the subwoofers dual coils.
there is only one fosgate power t2 in there run by a sony 1100 watt amplifier. the power and group are run to the battery, which is an optima. stock 70amp alternator. the lights do dim when the bass hits, but not enough to kill the car. im calling about a custom 200amp alternator. bit pricy, but itll be worth it. and thx man. a man is always glad to hear his work is appreciated.
I hope you arent gonna make that car a ricer, it looks like it so far lol. Forget the Neon, and go with a sleeper, but first throw a 5 speed in there =)

@AwesomeSeth its a camry dude!!!

@jfo420 Did I say it wasn't?
AwesomeSeth 1 year ago
@AwesomeSeth a sleeper and a 5 speed, its a camry not anything fast, big waste of time doing what your saying he should
jfo420 1 year ago
@jfo420 I had a Camry, it was pretty quick. Not the fastest, but with a turbo upgrade, and the right tuning, just about anything can be quick.

we havent had any trouble needing soundproofing on it yet. aside from a piece of change we cant find in the dash.....nothing rattles, or falls open.

Yea, the amp im looking at for my build is the
Lanzar MXA282 because it looks clean and i know lanzar is gonna come through when i need the power without sacrificing clarity.
Subs im looking at now are a pair of 15"
Audiobahn AW1505N
racerty1 3 years ago
i can get that amp and a pair of those subs for about 650-700 after shipping. And it all matches silver on Black.
