  • "i et a beetle , i et a beattle cos i fort it was licorice"

  • anyone know which season/episode this is?

  • its one of the guide tos

  • what episode is this from?

  • try this on calculator everyone... the story 'there once was a lady with 69 inch boobs, but they were too too too big, so she went to a doc on 51st st, and he gave her 8 shrinking pills, and now shes boobless!, ok, now the number you enter while telling the story: 69, 222, 51, then 'times' (x) 8, then =, then turn it upside down

  • ♪♫ Memories...♫♪

  • I fucking love these...the great combination of karls calming voice and subtle humour followed by rickys amazing infectious laugh brings a smile to my face everytime in any shitty situation!!

  • This is getting animated on April the 1st.

    Can't wait!

  • only karl pilkington will get annoyed of a ghost talking to him all night instead of being afraid.

  • "at least you had a book"

  • at 3:20 i was cheking if someone signed on to msn or somethin g the little noise took me ages to figure out lol

  • If people have seen ghosts then they DO exist. Whether they exist in anything other than the human imagination and psychology remains to be seen.

  • @Kullg4r By your logic everything anyone has ever had a delusion about exists

  • @shiva1055 They exist as thought-forms. Electrical impulses. etc

  • @Kullg4r

Yeah yeah. Heard these psuedo-scientific explanations before. Cite some sources as to why it would be plausible to believe that ghosts are electrical brain impulses. When you do, present your theory and wait for the Nobel prize.

    Until then, Fuck off.

  • @HerrKnitler You misunderstand me. Ghosts exist in peoples minds as electrical impulses, aka thoughts or "delusions". You can't really argue with that, unless you want to say that anyone who has ever seen a ghost is lying. People SEE ghosts, so they DO exist, at least for the person who sees them. Be they delusional or not, the fact remains that in their reality they saw a ghost. To discount someone's experience just because your meterialistic dogma doesn't allow for that experience is foolish.

  • @Kullg4r BY definition, a delusion is an untruth. If I had a delusion that I had murdered somebody, I would not actually be a murderer. Similarly, if someone has a delusion that they see a ghost, they do not actually see a ghost. It is, of course, subjective to that person: that person may believe they have seen a ghost thus they are not lying. A lie is a dishonest statement and, per that person, they honestly believe they have seen a ghost. They are, however, mistaken with their beliefs.

  • @MrMattywarm In your opinion.

  • @Kullg4r Obviously. How could I offer anyone else's opinion?

  • @MrMattywarm You stated it as fact. Learn to E-prime.

  • @Kullg4r Lol, doesn't this seem just a bit too "hey, whatever works for you" ? If you're going to take that stance, couldn't you just as well say that because nothing can ever be finally proven false, by definition it must exist? Doesn't that take it a little too far? To say someone's delusion let them experience what they define as "a ghost" and then jumping from that to "ghosts exist" seems rather ridiculous.

  • @james193945 I'm a relativist. Don't hate me for it.

  • @Kullg4r Oh, far from it, in this I'm with you in whatever works for you ;D

  • @HerrKnitler Well, someones certainly scared death.

  • @Kullg4r That's just coming down to semantics and definitions. People should -mean- they exist, semi or fully or whatever, in the physical world.

  • @SAMagic You're right. It comes down to personal experience. I've never seen a ghost but I'll be damned if I'm going to dismiss anyone else's experience of seeing a ghost. To a person who see's a ghost, ghosts exists. Whether they actually saw the spirit of a human being who has passed on to the spirit realm we can't say.

What I'm saying is, people experience weird shit that science cannot account for.

  • @Kullg4r : Don't get me wrong, we should keep an open mind, but as the saying continues - not so open that everything falls out. Delusions also exist, like in Karl's experience here, and IMO we should remain sceptical until there's evidence, otherwise we're in the realm of superstition.

  • "His batteries are all over the flooooor!"

    LOL!!

  • best bit off this audio book is right before this when rickys bein karl's brain talking to him about being lost "theres a time and place to be lost"

  • "Before I used to knock about with a brick!" XD

  • ex-ACT-ly

  • Gervais ripping the piss outa pilky, "I used to knock around with a brick". Bahahahaha

  • Your mum was older yeah?

  • Karl should have learned something from the calculator!

  • I never get tired of hearing Rikcy get folded in half by Karl's deadpan nonsense. His reaction to "I thought it was licquorice" was solid gold, but the best has to be "We'll blend... all our food."

  • "Just one of them standard beetles"

  • i hate how ricky is so sure that ghosts dont exsist

  • @ghostwhiskey he doesnt believe in god..therefore no afterlife and no ghosts. you cant be an atheist and believe in ghosts.

  • @Vetis213 yea i know that was part of what i was saying,i personally dont know what to beleive as there is no evidence in either direction

  • @Vetis213 whos to say ghosts are not some imprint on time liek a recording rather than an afterlife?

  • @ghostwhiskey He's being logical

  • I used to feel bad for Karl, thinking that Ricky and Steve picked on him,but Karl more than holds his own.

  • Comment removed

  • I love how laid back and simple Karl sounds.

Ricky's laugh is brilliant too, everything Karl says makes him burst.

  • when merchant said "oh calculator, do that boobs thing again" (5:50) i almost choked

  • @lvukelic 4 + 16 what would it be?

  • @xXYewTewbXx My only friend was a calcule-ah!
