  • in all my travels in bulgaria i did not find any gajdas like this played. yes gaida is in bulgaria, greece, macedonia but in every country the gaida is slightly different in its construction, tuning and playing style. this particular gajda comes from what is now macedonian and the music played is from the village of lavca- it is a macedonian style gajda. cant you people get over the politics and just enjoy the damn music!

  • go to Prilep in Macedonia where I got mine hehe or google Balkandirect I can't remember the actual address.. you can buy one from there.. Im back in Aus now and still struggling to learn how to play it!

  • care instructions- play your gajda! then keep it rolled up in a plastic bag when not in use, so the skin doesnt dry out to much. but most of all playing is all gajda needs.

  • this is a macedonian gajda. there is also 2 kinds of gaidas in bulgaria but they look, and sound and are played differently.
