@BostonCreamDonut with 5,5 million population and other popular sports in here, I think there is not a chance that we can be a powerhouse. we won world championship, we were third in olympics, we have the best coach in the world, we produce great goaltenders to the nhl(tim thomas saved his career in finland) and we have at least one great draft pick every year. you may know a bit more about north-american hockey, but not even close when talking about hockey as a sport

"stupid Finn" I have really studied hockey for about 4 years with watching games from nhl, swedish, russian and finnish leagues and by reading sports magazines that critisized finnish hockey for copying their style of play from a typical nhl hockey. then finland did changes and now I can see that north american hockey is not anymore the best way to play the game. you will find that out in sotshi when they play in european rinks...
