Not really, Rock Band has more accurate charts, better graphics, and there will be over 500 songs available as downloads or in the first 2 games by the end of the year.

Honestly the accurate charts make it too easy and better graphics? have you played gh on a 360? Also neversoft said the would release dlc more often. Plus I find guitar hero more enjoyable. It's not that Rock Band is bad, it;s tha gh is better.

I've got GH3 on a 360 in HD. I also have Rock Band on a 360. If you think that the cartoon characters that aren't playing the right notes on the guitar are better than realistic characters actually playing the song, then idk what you're thinking. also, accurate charts don't necessarily make it easy, look at the charts online for "constant motion" or "sleepwalker" if you think that.

I'm going to say the opposite: GH isn't bad, I like it and I want to buy/rent GH:WT, but IMO Rock Band is better.

Dude, I'm not a fanboy. I was considering buying this game, if you actually read my comment you would have read that. Say you have an apple, and you find a worm in it. Then you start eating oranges, and they taste really good. Does that mean that you're an orange fanboy?

Also, graphics matter a lot in games. Would you rather be playing cartoonish characters that float when you activate star power or play pretty realistic-looking characters? (GH:WT could have good graphics, but GH3's sucked)

actually it REALLY doesn't matter to me whether the characters are realistic or not because 95% of the time you're gonna be looking at the note path and not the characters

Yes, I have tried this on a real guitar, I'm actually using the actual tab as a reference point. It's overcharted. I'll point out a few places they overcharted, mostly at the solo.

Guitar:

3:24 - Those shouldn't be chords.

3:29 - Shouldn't be chords.

3:33 - Should be triplets, not sextuplets. Way too many notes.

3:38 - Shouldn't be chords.

Drums:

Opening - I understand playing the double bass on toms, but there shouldn't be bass hits on every beat then.

And I didn't even look at the bass.

BTW, by overcharted I didn't necessarily mean hard. I mean places where you have to play chords where you shouldn't have to, etc. When You Were Young is overcharted in just about every way possible, you play the synth in the bridge, you play chords instead of single notes in both the solos and in the second verst, the opening chord is broken into 3 notes instead of one note, and the GYB chords should just be GYs. Rock Band owns Guitar Hero 3, on that song at least.

Looking back at those points, I sort of see what you're saying. But, GH creators tend to make bends as chords on the note chart. I guess they figure since a lot of people use two fingers to bend, then they just make them as two notes on the note chart. But really, who cares, it looks fun as hell.

It wasn't as close as they could, it's not that hard to put a single orange note instead of an orange/blue chord. It's probably easier to put 3 notes instead of 6. And on and on.

The developers of the game add notes and chords just to make the song harder. Which is not very rock star at all, more like a nerd sitting in a computer chair trying to FC this song.

No way, TTFAF murders little children. This isn't as bad. The intro is crazy, but it's no more difficult than a single section of TTFAF or Cult of Personality. The rest is just standard chords and some single notes. The solo is hard, but the alt-strumming parts should keep you afloat. If not, there's always star power. The outro is just alt-strumming chords. The hardest part of it is the slides, and they're short. It's a difficult song, but nowhere near TTFAF.(All this is only for guitar btw.)
