@TheRossiboy If you kept them on for a long period of time, I guess they would run down pretty quickly. These are only really meant as a quick & cheap alternative, and when I had them I only put them on for a few hours in the evening. This tank now has a proper electric tank light built into the hood :)
The way i made my own light for my tank was useing under cabinet spot lights they are 120 volts so i dont change battries. and its much brighter than LEDs and creates a flicker as the water moves. they are in cased in glass hood i made. how ever i would never use it on my reef tank.
@suicide5389 These lights are a cheaper & simpler alternative to electric lights. This tank has a large electric light, and has several fancy goldfish in it such as oranda, black moor etc

I'm not trying to be nasty or anything but wouldn't they run out of power after only 1-2 weeks of use?

@TheRossiboy Maybe put them all on a 5V DC transformer with a switch? Then you can be rid a replacing costly batteries... :)
