Should have kept Shea and remodled it. The Mets have an owner who is more in love with the Brooklyn Dodgers than he is with the Mets history so he had to build a stadium Like Ebbits Field even named it Citi Field. Don't care much for the Wilpons. If Doubleday would have kept the team I think Shea would still be standing. Not the same maybe Citi is nicer but it doesnot seem like home.
A terrible tragedy. And all so corporate fat cats can have more luxury boxes and they can suck more money out of the rest of us. Equally outrageous is that the taxpayers who built the new stadium don't get any recognition and they're going to name it after a corrupt and ruthless bank. Disgraceful.
Shea Stadium should have been remodeled!! not destroyed!!they could have done the same thing that Kauffman Stadium is doing.Example:
New seats,color green is fine with me
Extend more seats
Take out the bleachers and turn it into normal seats
HD Scoreboard
etc...
Like U.S. Cellular Field did
It would have cost MUCH LESS
And im not critizicing Citi Field,i must admit it it looks great,but it wasnt necessary that new stadium specially at this time that the economy is BAD

Was never there, sucks though The Aud was still standing here until about the last week in may, just a big open lot now.
