Why he didn't win? He did win. If my understanding is correct. The winner is signed to the label that American Idol is affiliated with. As the 2nd after a 1 year tour with American Idol. They are free agents. Besides everybody who knows great talent could see that his versatility would take Clay further than the winner. :)

clay should have won, and probably would have if the voting hadn't been screwed up somehow. The show producers admitted that he was leading in the voting right from the start for all the shows. It's not likely that would have changed in the finale. But..... his career is more powerful than Rueben's so that is poetic justice at least! Go Clay!!!!!
