this is so cool to see, I miss having weimaraners, I had a couple that had puppies twice, 11 in the first time and 9 the 2nd time.

@anterfr I think it is cruel to have their tales docked. There's no need for it so why do it?

@GDOBSSOR It is necessary for hunting animals and it is the breed standard in the US according to the American Kennel Club. As a certified breeder I do as is directed by the AKC. It is done in a humane fashion and within minutes the pups are just fine. I was there for the process.

Tail docking is not cruel... as long as it's done within the first few days of birth there is no pain experienced by the pup.

tale docking in the US is not illegal and is for the benefit of the breed as a working dog. weimaraners are bred for hunting and therefore need to be more stealth than they could be with a tail wagging in the brush. and there is evidence that working animals are susceotable to breakage and injury when the tail is not docked.

on another level your argument is made completely invalid because you choose to use a word that is discriminatory and hateful to describe your detest...

@khubization yes they are found in australia. but i wouldn't recommend a weimaraner for an apartment living situation at all. they do require a bare minimum of 1-2 hours a day of active play time / walking / etc. Weimaraners tend to protest the absence of their people and will bark and howl etc. but they are adorable and the sweetest little cuddlers. quite lovely with children and other dogs.
