  • get off the coke

  • man u are great, u are inspiring me to destroy my car :p

  • I wish I could do this stuff...

  • @Johnv2142 If I can do this, certainly anyone can. :)

  • been following for a while now and just wanted to say the car is looking great. its not often you see someone actually pursue something. i cant wait to see it to the end. I am a professional industrial designer and sketch cars all the time on the side and always wondered what it would really take to make one of them a reality, so i appreciate the hard work and many hours you are putting into it. great job!

  • @BaileyBlade - Oh ok very cool! I am subscribed to the Facebook page but my app on my phone is messed up so I don't use Facebook too much. I'm going to check it out though next time I'm on a PC for sure!

  • Me likey! I hate all the clutter you find in modern interiors these days.

  • Advertisement from The Home Depot

  • @eddo617 Yeah HoemDepot should sponsor me. LOL.

  • reminds me kind of like a Ford GT interior. havent watched these in a while.. still say LS1, RB25DET, or 2JZ-GTE ;) keep up the good work

  • @mobsterbillyjoe Yeah I will probably test with a few engines.

  • @BaileyBlade you probably want to put a corvette motor in there or any domestic...since your car looks like it is more marketable toward domestic car enthusiasts.

  • hey there, I like it very much, now i know how it get easier whit the clay, it doesn't cure like cement?you can always reheat an model?. Also I have been thinking you probably need to model with a steering wheel to keep proportions on the length of the gauges, angle and depth so you don't need to modify it later when you add one, part of the console is those that cover the steering wheel base and lights, directional lights, wipers, key lock.

  • @luisalbcarvajal Yeah the clay never dries or cures or goes bad. I have a steering wheel that I use for placement and checking clearances. You guys just have not seen it yet.

  • You could also take the tablet out and use it at work or home for other things when you're not driving the car.

I wonder if you could integrate that idea into some of the cars. I am sure by the time you are into production, the android devices (and apple too of course) will have advanced even further and become more felxible/diverse.

Also by then I bet most of your customers will probably own a tablet of some sort.

    Just an idea!

  • @HAMMERxHCA Yep, this is true as well, People will need to take it in with them so it does not get stolen as well.

  • I am very happy with the direction of android devices for the fact that you could take any of the 7" to 10" android tablets, mount it in the console (where you plan on having the other gauge displays), and just run an app for engine management, diagnostics, viewing performance and fuel economy, etc. Also you would have plenty of storage on the SD card of the tablet to hold thousands of songs like an ipod.

You'd have music, internet, GPS, email, engine mgmt, etc all in one touch screen display.

  • @HAMMERxHCA Yeah this is exactly the plan... with some custom programs on the android device. This has been discussed a lot on my FaceBook page. But you pretty much nailed exactly what I am wanting to do.

  • Badass sawzall dude, looks sweet, I gotta git me one lol.

  • are you planning on having this dash padded or just tell people to wear there seat belts?

  • @whitetbolt The dash will be slightly padded, more so than any of my new cars that I drive now as they are all hard plastic. But yeah wear your seat belt, its a race/sports car... and its the law. If you are suggesting that the dash needs to be padded to help save your life then that's what the Air Bags are for.

  • @BaileyBlade Believe me, it only took getting hit head on 25 years ago to convince myself to always strap in. I did see you mention a drivers airbag . But curious if there will be a passenger one also. And really my question about the padding was more to get a feel of the texture of the dash. Like the idea of a little padding under the leather. Will give it a little bit of a luxurious feel. And there is no law that says a race car can not feel nice.

  • @whitetbolt Ahh ok yes there will be a passenger side as well and any other safety features I can fit in. Thanks for clarifying about the dash, yes it will have a nice leather texture with some padding under it to plush up the leather a bit. I'm going for that Elegant/Retro look with a bit of Race Car hints.

  • It's excellent! I love the center screen because personally in many vehicles i'm forced to resculpture the dash to put any and meet my expectations, and it's hard as i wont stop working unless it looks 100% like it's an unmodified OEM part.

  • pro

  • Hey,

About the interior concept, it's already looking very good, I think. Unfortunately I have to admit that I do not like the center screen. Did you already had a thought about a head up display? I propose you search for 'GM Reimagines Head-up Display Technology Video' here on YouTube. This is just amazing ;) Don't get me wrong, but I think the center console only has an entertaining purpose and is not for additional info since it's hard to spot it for the driver.

  • @lapistano thanks for the suggestion, but no heads up display for this car. The technology is not perfected yet and very expensive with limited uses.

  • what if i want to upgrade the sound system i have to keep the old radio? to see gages and stuff like that btw what have u thought about audio for the car

  • @haryblandon1 What radio? Just kidding... It has a spot under the touch screen for a single din radio if you need to have one. As for upgrading you will not have any problems.

  • What about the steering wheel?

  • @iTzEazyMod It will have one... :)

  • beautiful concept artwork, this is exactly the field I want to get into after I graduate :]

  • @windreaver6 Great, check out my FaceBook page, there are a lot of people there in this industry that could help you.

  • Have you thought about black suede with red stitching?, imo it would look pretty sick with the colour of the car.

  • @morris0893 Yes all the stitching will match the out side of the car, or it will be custom colors based on what the customer wants. For the first few, they will be dark interior with red stitching.
