You brought back memories for me. My mom used to make tons of these things. She made a fair number of quilts from them & I'm lucky enough to own one. Its in need of repair but I still love it to pieces. Thanks Pat for the walk down memory lane :)
Hi! this is the best video I've seen so far. I'm gonna try to find a yo-yo maker because it's a lot easier to sew the edges. Is the one you have from Clover?
wow, it takes forever.. I was always wondering how to make an yo yo with the plastic thing.. it was very helpful but to make it looks prettier, you could "sew" once again only it's "edges" and pulling the thread.. it will close the yo yo and will look even cuter then with the button :)
I agree with you...I am currently making a yo yo quilt..and it will require nearly 8000 circles...I have gotten so fast at making them, I think this would screw me up.
But would be a fantastic tool to teach children or a visually impared person, how to make beautiful yo yo's.
I've just purchased various designs in the Yo Yo Makers and the Rose maker and after seeing the video I can't wait to get started, brilliant.

it's even faster to just park a circle, cut it, and stitch. forget the plastic thing.

its way faster with the maker if you don't cut a square out of your fabric, I just snap and trim, also I get more yoyo's from my fabric this way.

Believe it or not; i'm faster without this plastic thing, but if people find it helpful; that's great because yo yos are really fun!!!
