上原の最大の武器は、バッターに的を絞る時間を与えない独特のテ­ンポだと思う。ストレートの伸び・変化球のキレ（特にフォーク・­スプリット）はもちろんイイけど、並みの先発ピッチャーに比べて­球種を決めてから投げるまでのテンポがかなり早い。松坂や岩隈は­ゆっくりめな投球動作でしっかり間を取ってから投げるのに対して­、上原はサインが決まれば躊躇なく即投げるようなイメージ。まる­で高校野球のピッチャーのようにテンポが早くそれでいてコントロ­ールも抜群。間違いなく日本の歴代ので上位に位置するピッチャー­だろうな！

I disagree, the Yanks has made so many mistakes for acquiring the Japanese players except Matsui. Look at Irabu or Igawa. Besides, New York seems not a lovely place for the Japanese players since lots of Japanese players could not enjoy the time in Mets. Kaz Matsui did nothing but got big money as he was in Mets then moved to Colorado and played in the WS.
