  • One of my top favs for sure...

  • Damn i see Yousuke (Persona 4) voice EVERYWHERE

  • @08francklin Yup.

  • strange, how anything takes place in germany for a fresh change, instead of america and japan all the damn time

  • Burningpeoplewithmonstersandcuttingtheminhalfitude.

    Must become a meme. I lol'd.

  • awesome game....

  • i hold this game close to my heart, still got it on ps2 and got the japanese psp version, one of my favorite games EVER,

  • @furburgerking23

me too man best game ever.. im not even joking!

  • antidisestablishmentarinasim lol!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DoctorWhoSims

True indeed. I'm not a graphics whore by any means. I have and play almost exclusively on my DS as testament to the fact. Maybe I'll give Shadow of Destiny a shot once I finish Vagrant Story.

  • Why the hell did he review this game for the PSP? That's fucking retarded if you ask me.

  • @Gamefan113

I guess because...he wanted to? It looks pretty dumb to me too but I'm sure this video review will service someone who may find the game to be interesting, esp. if they missed it the first time around. IMO there are tons of PSone games that look graphically better than this; I'm playing one (on PSP) right now: Vagrant Story.

  • Honestly, I beat this in 2 hours, holy christ it was so short and depressing.

The animations and voice acting was really bad. :(

Overall, the story was a total mindrape. Pretty good, but wouldn't play agin.

  • This also came out on PC, but of course, that's never mentioned or even known!

  • The new voice acting pretty much sucks. Everyone's voice is too high pitched, Eike sounds like a middle school kid, and you just can't replace Homunculus's voice without consequences.

  • Yeah I hate the new voice dubbing. Sounds like a bunch of douche high school kids.

  • SOrry for asking but what happened at the main character at the end of this vid?

  • @andygunlocke Depends on which ending you believe in.

  • @SaveaChicken No dude seriously. What happened?

  • @andygunlocke Dies for good and a real Game Over, if I remember, unlike dying and returning to the Homunculus' place

  • I remember playing this one on ps2. it's the best game I've ever played!

  • Quick note: This was ALSO released on the PC. Granted for WINDOWS 98 AND MILLENNIUM, but it was.

I'll be buying the PSP version, I didn't know it was rereleased!

  • Dude, review Shadow of the Colossus can God of War!

  • BurningPeopleWithMonstersAndCuttingThemInHalfatude just 1 awesome word lmao

  • Shemue - Konami Edition.

  • this game feels a little like shenmue....sans qte and combat

  • this seems awfully similar to time hollow

  • @0503892811 its made by the same people

  • Definitely going with the PS2 version. Voice acting better, and the graphics are better render, which isn't a surprise.

  • A game you don't forget. Amazing story and a very relaxed gameplay. Anyone could play it. It's a "walk and talk"...if you like detective stories you will enjoy it. Unfortunately it's very short (about 5 hours), but like a good book it's nice to re-discover it after a few years. Don't rush through it.. it's fun to mess around and explore.

  • Those voice actors sound very familiar.

  • One of the best games I've ever played.

  • great game! ps2 or psp :)

  • Make a Game it will be the best.

  • hahahahahahah my last name is eike:P

  • @bambinosto That is a cool last name.

  • Whoa...they changed the voice acting. Not bad..but it wasn't so bad before

  • its sasuke

  • which do u recommend the ps2 or psp version?

  • Graphics obsessed guys, believe it or not, this game has some of the best graphics ever seen on a handheld!

  • @pspvampire Crisis Core is better still despite it being a 2008 game

  • Adventure games have always been a hit or miss for me, games like these and Heavy Rain are cool, while some Japanese Adventure/Dating sim games can be creepy.. in a bad way.

  • THANKS FOR THE REVIEW!! I miss the old days when games were so much simpler. And the box for this game, as well as the instruction manual is really simple. It didn't seem like an overly complicated game. Seriously, the instructions are like 5 pages long, for the English section at least. When I saw CGR reviewed it, i looked now further! Always great to know what a game is like before buying, as well as be entertained.

  • The time select screen looks so much better... the PS2 version looked boring and creepy.

  • Burningpeoplewithmonstersandcuttingtheminhalfitude. Catchy.

I remember when this came out on the PS2. It looked pretty cool, but the main character is a bit of a stiff.

  • @Claidheambmor

Yeh, it looks like Raiden... I think Konami was preparing all the PS2 players for MGS2 at the time.

  • I can't put my finger on it, but this game seems INCREDIBLY creepy.

I honestly have no idea why, I think it's the character design and movement.

  • i have this game on ps2. i got it used for $14.95. it's pretty cool :D

  • @tylerfrump15

I'm trying to get it for the PSP but it's expensive as hell on Ebay...

I might download the ISO but I'd like to own that game

  • The idea with the monsters seems strange to me. Why should there be monsters in this story? Sounds like a different game then. But for part 2 (if such ever came out) I could imagine that Hugo creates such things and Eike must travel through time like a ghostbuster to defeat them with the help of Homunculus to save the past.

  • i hated the new voice acting, original one is better.

  • @gasparsousajr

I too. The original synchro was more sympathic.

  • @gasparsousajr isn;t it the same guy that played eike from before?

  • @satmtca No, the original guy who did Eike's voice from the 2001 game was Scott Keck. The new guy sounds awfully familiar...like I may have heard him in some anime.

  • @RyeBreadThree Yuri Lowenthal?

  • @gasparsousajr the new voice is the guy who plays sasuke uchiha in naruto

  • @gasparsousajr Funny I think quite opposite. The first voice acting was bit cheap and cheesy.

  • @gasparsousajr

Do you know if its still the same people doing the voices or not? (from the ps2 version to the psp version)

  • Raiden is appearing in non-MGS titles? Fuck you, that looks like Raiden.

  • lol the end xD

  • It never came out on xbox

  • He does a lot of reviews now

  • @DrPilotRedC Yeah, seems like he has much more time in his hands right now. I am thinking his unemployed. LOL! =)

  • @VagrantSoul14 - Or it's his job.

  • you forget that this game also released for PC, but im glad they changed the voice actor from the original , since the original was really .... you know hahaha but I still love this game story

  • gaysauce?

  • This game was awesome on PS2. I'm very happy there were no monsters.

  • the main character sounds like Sauske from naruto.

  • @smashbrosfan25 Yeah, he does sound like Saucegay... maybe it's the same voice actor.

  • I like the original voices much better.

  • that was creepy in the end

  • Does it have extra stuff that the PS2 version didn't?

  • Interesting game. Might buy it for myself.

  • Nice Army of Darkness reference.

  • Oh my fucking god, scariest fucking death scream ever.

  • i dont get y they made it only 4 psp actually i dont get y they made it 4 psp at all if the first one was made 4 ps2 & xbox y would they make it 4 psp

  • I like how the main character looks more feminine than the women in this game.

  • man, i played the crap out of this game on PS2.. i might need to pick this up

  • why are japanese game developers so obsessed with europe

  • @yellowfellow marco polo probaly ?? who knows lol

  • It looks like a cat fight. please continue i'am amused.

  • I think this game is a spiritual predecessor of an excelent DS game which is made by the same designer and also had time travel as a focus. I really liked that one (even though it, just like MANY other stories that include time travel, didn't make perfect sense and didn't explain everything clearly) so I'll probably give this one a try.

  • @kreeddem please unsub so I don't have to see your failing comments

  • @subc666 tool

  • @kreeddeem - Ok I'm a tool......Wow I'm really upset anything else you got to come back with? fag, gay, retard?

  • @subc666 No, tool is sufficient for you.

  • @Kreeddem - Ok then glad to see your happy

  • @subc666 I am.

  • @Kreeddem good.

  • unsub cos 99% of us love that...and flamethrowers

  • Any PS3 or PC gamers here that have just bought heavy rain??

  • Wow, another horror game for PSP, I already have Obscure The Aftermath

  • this game is awesome the gameplay & storyline is very classic.

and this is an awesome review

[all of his reviews are awesome lol :D ]

  • This game reminds me, Where is Timesliptters

  • sounded good...untill I heard about the timetraveling...don't like timetraveling...

    MVHH

  • good

  • Wow, I think this was one of the first ps2 games I got, or one of the first non-release day games that came out. makes me feel old.

  • good

  • got it for free for my pc a week ago :D

  • I remember playing this years ago. Was interesting the amount of ways you could kill yourself :p

  • It's on PC too.

  • I love this game.

I have it for the PS2

  • I bought this game, but when I played it I accidentally erased myself from existence. By the time I had fixed the whole time paradox I'd created, I hadn't bought the game in the first place.

  • this version may be better then the origanal for one reason in this version he fucking runs instead of the stupid walking I would have completed that game so much faster if he ran

  • you are right Mark, the Flinstones.... yes.

  • i'm so glad that this game is getting a re-release. This game was my first purchase along with the ps2. It was more of an impulse buy but i did not regret it.

  • This seems like a cool game and story, but it needs more burning-people-with-monsters-and-cutting-them-in-half-itude.

  • Not all games need monsters ;) This one is very good without monsters. I played it last time on PS2 and the atmosphere would be destroyed if you would put monsters inside.

  • Wow. Intense death there at the end.

  • Shop smart.... shop S-mart

  • I think I saw this title before I own the PS2. Kindda forgotten 'bout it. Might pick this one up.

  • at the end it sounds like he got killed by a giant elephant giving birth...

  • "there's no excuse now because I'm telling you about it." funny. i liked that he yelled it.

  • Hey the main character of this game sounds a little like sasuke uchiha.

  • That's because they're both voiced by Yuri Lowenthal.

  • So this game does have alternate endings. When I got to the end on the PS2 version, I got hit by a car and died! I ever wanted to look at the game again afterwards.

  • same thing happened to me too. I returned it after

  • I have played it more times and get 4 of the different endings. The one with the car was the worst I think, but it's one of the enginds I need to get. The different endings are like a puzzle, if you get all of them, you have an extra ending :)

  • love the dante refrence! lol!

  • reminds me of shenmue.

  • Why are street names in German? And why didnt you try to read it out? :D

  • The game playes in Germany, so the figures also have german names :) But that's good for me, it's very familiar this way.

  • jop that female main characterhas the same name as my grandma! Margret, fantastic...:-P

  • i thought it was burning people with flamethrowers and cutting monsters in half

  • I always wanted to play this one. I missed it on the PS2.

  • @teh2Dgamer

OH SHIT NIGGA YOUR MISSING OUT! i loved this game

  • omg i played that on the ps2

  • I remember this being one of the first PS2 games I played great game if your looking for something different also reveiw heavy rain

  • Damn, looks pretty good, but lack of burningpeoplewithmonstersandcuttingtheminhalfitude is alittle disappointing...

But the Flintstones is historically inaccurate, believe it or not, Dino doesn't breath fire. What's that all about?

  • Burningpeoplewithmonstersandcuttingtheminhalftitude. I'd like to see THAT in an atari game.

  • Need to pick this up on PS2

  • Ditto.

  • Konami huh? He should vist the belmonts.

  • Saw this on psp today at ebgames when I picked up metal slug XX.

  • Burningpeoplewithmonstersandcuttingtheminhalfitude! Is now the longest word of the english dictionary. More letters then Antidisestablishmentarinism (prolly spelt wrong fyi)

  • @TheGrandleathal Burningpeoplewithmonstersandcuttingtheminhalfitude! The word is soo awesome, the word splits at cu tting for some strange reason 0.o

  • haha! Burningpeoplewithmonstersandcuttingtheminhalfitude! from the Dante's Inferno review right?

  • @Liboo52 No, he has been using that phrase for months now.

  • I believe the phrase was first used in a Golden Axe review

  • One thing that I'd like to point out is that this title was also released on the PC (a port from the console version) back in the day :)

  • You should make a review of uncharted 1 or 2

  • I do not believe this game is on Xbox. The Xbox I don't think was out than.

  • 666 views XD

  • @wafflebuster u fah tdfhsjlgdhsgldsf yhrtrtu are aonly 656 reviewo ijklnoiuding me wft lis rwong itwh ouy

  • Blackadder Refrence!

  • Could please someone tell me What the flip hapoened at the end of the review??

  • burningpeoplewithmonstersandcuttingtheminhalfitude

    Heh.

  • In germany (where the game takes place) everyone has a british accent obviously.

  • ah well done again,

  • The names of the streets are german, why that?^^

  • You gotta do "Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero?" for PSP before the sequel comes out.... please.

  • Yo like burning people with monsters and cutting them in half, don't you?

Actually I think that should be a videogame genre: "A 'burning people with monsters and cutting them in half' game"

  • yeah that will be cool, browsing ebay looking for a game in the 'burning people with monsters and cutting them in half' genre.

  • also, you forgot to mention the pc version and the xbox version was only released in eu. & aus. ;)

  • they also changed some of the voice actors to slightly better ones I've noticed... but not by much xD

  • great game, i played it on pc

  • 1:20 - 1:25

Is it just me... or is this the music from the RE dining room?

  • He owned them with the lighter.

  • I'm all for story games

    but on the PSP ?

deep story on the go, seems not fitting

  • @Ishidasouken like he said it was a rerelease of a PS2 game. get it for that if you want. personally i think it's great on both systems.

  • so its the beta version on Heavy Rain lol

  • lol seems like it..

  • WRONG!!!!

  • 5:05 ....and PC >:(

  • Hmmm lol I could just imagine going back in time and terring up a city with a shotgun & a hummer. MUAHAHAAHAH

  • lol me too, i would launch a nuke at the british and they be like, Oh i do presume holy shit!

  • No dear boy, they would be drinking tea and go like "oh look there appears to be a nuclear bomb being launched right at us... WATAFAAA..."

  • Erm nobody talks like that in britain, maybe the queen :/

  • This looks boring as hell. Please review some games for the psp. =)

  • "lebensbaum" why is there a german word?
