  • Not bad! Some French pronunciation mistakes, get a good coach. Terrible pianist though, he is definitely not helping you.

  • the laugh disturbed the singer performance ...

  • this is great!

  • the doll song? -.- olympia's song from les contes d' hoffmann

  • What happen with the audience? Bad, bad, bad.

  • I loved your staccato at 3:23...I'm doing this for the part of the doll in the opera...what is the vocal trick...I'm a lyric coloratura but I haven't quite found the right placement for these notes...The arrangement will be to the Laura Claycomb version..there's a video of her singing it on here =) Advice will be appreciated

  • @Poet2916 So sorry. These are videos of my daughter when she was in college. She is presently on Royal Caribbean as a featured singer so she doesnt have access to respond. Hope all goes well with your performance.

  • I love you.

  • I wish I had your voice. :(

  • The audience needs to stfu.

  • @tggold I love everything you just wrote.

  • @tggold I completely agree!!! But, I still don't think that the audience should scream like they do at pop concerts. Your right, musicians do need to bring the fun back into classical music. I've always admired Andre Rieu for doing this.

  • This is the making of a good, solid coloratura. She sings within her capabilities, allowing the voice to grow and mature on it own.

  • Wonderful

  • god! how old were you on this video?

  • Wonderful performance. The choreography could have been mixed up a bit, but really fantastic work!

  • I've listened to a few of your videos and from what I've heard you are an AMAZING crossover singer. I'm doing classical voice and I only wish I could perform this and a song like Popular in the same recital. Keep up the great work!!

  • Absolutely wonderful, although I wonder why she didn't take the high E at the end?

  • it was good but were whas the high note at the end ??

  • AND! I forgot! Really nice voice :)

  • such a clear and pretty voice :)

  • your scales were so clean, loved it

  • Hello!

    Hey you did great!!!

    And those coloraturas were nice!

    Congrats.

  • I will learn this song...

  • Exquisite! Truly....you have an amazing talent. Did you continue on to graduate school? What are your career plans? I do hope they include professional performance!

  • this is one of my favorite pieces and you did amazingly

  • woooooooaaauuuuuuu......

  • A junior recital? What do you still have to learn than?

  • amazing!!

  • Loved the coloratura, very clean. Well done!

  • girl you're amazing.... how old are you?.... this is such a hard song!!!!!..... wooooow.... i'm upper impressed....

  • aw! You're such a cute doll! Love the performance. Nice stage presence for this song!

  • Des réserves quant au jeu (cela peut se corriger) ; la voux, elle, est superbe.

  • Decent. Work on your French...big time. Example: "coeur" is not "core."

  • WOW! You are fantastic!

  • What a beatiful voice and brilliant character!

You must have watched a lot of Star Wars, you move like C-3PO. Two thumbs up!

  • thumbs up...

  • well done!! this is my favorite version of this song...you have great flexibility and your character is to die for :)!! BRAVO!!!

  • Aw, I remember back when I was the White Witch and you were Lucy...

Things are obviously going well for you, Whitney! This performance is gorgeous! I've always loved your voice, but this is incredible.

  • Excellent performance and voice!!

  • this is easily one of my favourite coloratura arias and you perform it brilliantly...very entertaining to say the least lol

  • You should marry my friend Garmon and make him take up your last name so his name would be Garmon Garmon!

  • I enjoyed watching this, and your dress is gorgeous!

  • Excelente, pero ¿porque se rien tanto?

A mi no me da risa...

  • why not Eb at the end? you proved you had it a couple of times earlier in the aria

  • this is BY FAR my favorite interpretation of this piece! u never get fun song like this for tenors but ur still awesome!

  • excellent, i love it and i love the piece. :)

  • I'm not here to critique you like everyone else...sometimes people have to learn how to enjoy the voice and music! You have such a beautiful voice! Your voice is so pure and pretty! I love it! Brava! I thought you were fantabulous! Gorgeous!

  • bravo! i was all excited for the high note at the end, but oh well. still great job what a great voice!!

  • I don't care what anybody sayd this piece is tough kudos!!!!

  • Great sound! I agree though french can be improved. The movements are fantastic but make sure not to do any "musical" head movements, dropping your chin when a note goes lower..shaking your head with the runs. It;s so hard not too do it but it makes it so much more impressive when you can be totally still.

  • Good commitment to your movements. very entertaining

  • This sounded very comfortable, that´s good!

  • You did fine.... need a little work on French diction, and sustaining that high Eb at the end of the piece.... the choreography was great. Keep working at it.

  • It's very hard and you did it very good. I also want to know who wrote it...If someone knows....

  • it's from "les contes d'Hoffmann" a french opera wrote by Jacques Offenbach.
