  • HOw come there is people that get really good equipment and buy expensive shit and just don't take the time to solve stuff? Bad ground and the amp is picking up noise from the room it's in.

  • Hey, how did you solve this static noise??

I have the same problem in a Mesa Mark V... and would like to figure this out before having to send it to boogie... cause it'll take months...

  • Thank Vai for his great amps- agree with boss, turn off the lights above. The amp is picking up 60hz from your electrical source.

  • It has static noise because there is no imput cable in and the imput jack is just picking up the air

  • I think its the 120volt supply side if you have florecent light on that same ciruit, you could get noise.

  • try changing a tube, or also, i use a fender hot rod that does kinda have that white noise sound in it. its weird, but you have alittle buzz mixed with it

  • sounds like a bad ground.

  • @jeffreycollins How exactly would you ground an amp?

  • @AussieBoyX you go to the library, and grab a book on electronics. There are even plenty of books especially made for working on the electronics of guitar amps. That company Carvin is a company that stands by their products and the guy should have just been able to send it back without having to make a video on it.
