Marquez IS a better fighter... he admitted that Pacquaio won't gve him a third fight which is what the fans want. Marquez is now eyeing up Mayweather and to be frankly honest I fancy his chances. More on this as the build-up continues.
Marquez was pretty smart, I have to agree. He adjusted pretty quickly when he got knocked down 3 times in the first round of their first fight. I also like his chances against Floyd. I do however wanna see Floyd vs Manny before the year ends. I think it is going to happen. a third fight with Marquez probly won't happen till next year, if ever. Manny is a different fighter now since his first encounter with Marquez. We'll see what happens in a few months.

I just saw a photo of a stare-down between Mayweather and Marquez. Mayweather has that cocky smile on his face but Marquez has that glint in his eye, he knows this is the one chance to forever secure his name among the all-time greats. Marquez has a steely look and is undeterred knowing the full extent of the task ahead of him, with no illusions to what he faces. It makes for a brilliant fight.
Sorry Marquez is going up in weight to fight Mayweather. I do think that will hinder Mayweather more though because he'll have to shed the pounds to make the limit and it will take something out of him, though I must say Marquez isn't the most difficult fighter to catch. I have looked at the 2 fights again and again. I tend to think that the draw was good on the first one, even though JMM schooled him for 10 rds. On the second one looking at the punches added on compubox, looking at rd per rd i think JMM won, but pac is protected by the gambling and PPV mafia since all filipinos throw a lot of money in vegas when fight time. They are looking to get the Asian market and what better way than help manny out. that is what filipinos can't realize.

Pacquiao gave Eric Morales(twice), Barrera, ODLH, Marquez the worst beatdown of their lives. Marquez barely got by Barerra(I thought he lost), got put on his ass 4 times by PacMan and is o-1-1(should be 0-2) and doesn't have the cajones to fight ODLH. Marquez shouldn't have taken lightly in this fight. If he took this fight seriously it would have been Marquez with the trilogy with Morales and he would fought a younger Barrera.

Although pac is a real good fighter Marquez is as good if not a better boxer. Marquez was pretty smart, I have to agree. He adjusted pretty quickly when he got knocked down 3 times in the first round of their first fight. I also like his chances against Floyd. I do however wanna see Floyd vs Manny before the year ends. I think it is going to happen. a third fight with Marquez probly won't happen till next year, if ever. Manny is a different fighter now since his first encounter with Marquez. We'll see what happens in a few months.

That's what all great fighters do, they take stock after a dismal round and come back strong. I seriously think Mayweather's underestimated Marquez because not only is he going back down to Lightweight (which he hasn't fought at in 6 years) he is also going up against Marquez at his best. I just saw a photo of a stare-down between Mayweather and Marquez. Mayweather has that cocky smile on his face but Marquez has that glint in his eye, he knows this is the one chance to forever secure his name among the all-time greats. Marquez has a steely look and is undeterred knowing the full extent of the task ahead of him, with no illusions to what he faces. It makes for a brilliant fight.

I have looked at the 2 fights again and again. I tend to think that the draw was good on the first one, even though JMM schooled him for 10 rds. On the second one looking at the punches added on compubox, looking at rd per rd i think JMM won, but pac is protected by the gambling and PPV mafia since all filipinos throw a lot of money in vegas when fight time. They are looking to get the Asian market and what better way than help manny out. that is what filipinos can't realize.

Marquez won this fight without question...knocked down three times and he came back to clearly outbox pacquiao all of the next rounds.....the second fight i think was much closer but i think it should've at least been a draw...pacquiao jus isn't as good as he's been hyped up to be...he's been tko's twice and marquez has never gone out like that...shows who the real warrior is....

Mayweather would beat Manny with one hand. Look at how Marquez countered punched Pacquiao when he does his right jab left straight. Imagine what Mayweather would do to Pacquioa considering Mayweather is a defensive expert.

i don't think so, i think that woul'd be too much for pacman, he is not that fast anymore, if he keeps going up, he'll loose more speed, plus Mayweather is a natural welterweight

much respect to manny he is one of the greatest fighters ever, but you can never catch up on all the mexican greats im not gonna start naming them, but if the 1st one was a draw marquez won the second one not to count he got handeld after the 1st round in the 1st one. so thats one filipino champion to 100's of mexican greats dont hate appriciate!!!
