USA turned the south into a free, economically strong, Democracy. Whereas the USSR subjected the north to brutal oppression and eternal poverty and suffering. The Chinese agreed with that and stuck it's nose where it didn't belong. In hindsight we should have wiped out the USSR and China right after WWII, then we'd have global peace.

UN didn't send their troops to Pusan (South-East part of S.Korea). They sent the troops to Incheon, which is near seoul. Incheon landing operation by General MacArthur.

UN didn't send their troops to Pusan (South-East part of S.Korea). They sent the troops to Incheon, which is near seoul. Incheon landing operation by General MacArthur.

Then the chinese pushed us back to the 38 th parallel. And it pretty much ended there. History books don't have much to offer of the Korean war, because it was not as famous. My history book barely has a paragraph which i read a few years ago. And only described few details of the beginning of the war. Bitch..

Then incheon landing took place, the Soldiers from south east of korea and west soon met. and drove the north koreans back up near the border of North Korea and China. Then chinese forces pushed us back to the 38 th parallel. And you say that we didnt push back? @535party At that time, the one sitting in UN and the UN Security Council was not the People's Republic of China (PRC) but the Republic of China (ROC) which controls on the Taiwan area. PRC was admitted to the UN only two decades after, kicking out the ROC ambassador out from his CHINA seat in both UNGA and UNSC.

@Phead128 actually, the americans were winning by the time the war ended. the chinese were able to outnumber the UN troops by a crap load, and the UN forces were at first shocked and pushed back, but the chinese losses were so great, and the UN loses at a much lower level, they started to push back, but the UN wanted to end the war and them and china and N. Korea came to an agreement

@Phead128 nope the UN troops were used to fighting a less experienced and smaller force at first, and when the chinese intervined, outnumbering the UN troops atleast 3-1, and with being supplied by the u.s.s.r. with weapon's and vehicles, they caught the UN troops off guard pushed them back, but with chinese losses at such a high level, the original number advantage was pretty much done, and the UN troops had the advantage again and pushed them back
