  • forgive the silly question but this is Brian Eno right? I'm still new to Robert Fripp and am eager to listen to more of this.

  • @DanRaccoon Yes it is the very same, post Roxy Music.

  • wow! this is making my eyes twitch!

  • I bought this album when it came out, then mislaid it a few years later. This is the first time I've heard this music since then. It's still as great now as it was then. ut then really great music always is, it never dates.

  • since the 70's i've enjoyed the sounds of eno, although there's room on the trip for fripp. it's great

  • This starts out great and with so much potential (I love drone, probably going back to It's All Too Much at the end of Yellow Submarine when I was a wee tot) but unfortunately it soon coagulates into a typic Frippy wank-fest.

  • Back in college, many years ago I needed a three page paper on something really fast. I put on "Heavenly Music Corporation" and by the time it was done I had it ready to type. Thank you,Fripp & Eno.

  • This was quite ground breaking when it first came out. I spent hours trying to figure out how they did it. Now I find it kind of monotonous.....I can make better music on my own with an ebow and the looper in guitar rig with my guitar.

  • One of the best albums ever recorded. Thanks for posting.

  • swastika girl rules

  • I put this on at a friend's party and NO-ONE could get it, they switched back to Beyonce within 2 minutes. Eh, people today......

  • @funkdakarma If you're at a party where the majority of guests want Beyonce and you thought this was the perfect opportunity to play Fripp & Eno, I would argue that perhaps you were the one at fault.

  • @TrippingOverGod Fair point but the hostess is quite the individual soul so i thought she'd invite like-minded people. So you're saying we shouldn't try enlightening those who don't know better?

  • Had the album way back when.

    I love this.

    Unties all the knots.

    Thanks.

  • Thanks for uploading this. I lost my copy more than 20 years ago. This was a cerebral anthem in various psychotropic inner circles mid 80s williamsburg VA. Peace to all you cats, who remember.

  • It's worth downloading the .zip file. Superb use of loops and sound-on-sound.

I wish I had the gear to do things like this.

  • Sounds like a great concert. Tell us more about it. I was about 16, (1982), when I started getting into Crimson and Fripp and Eno, J. M. Jarre, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, ambient....etc. Saw King Crimson at the Greek in Berkeley for the "Beat" tour. 8th row center seat; frickin' amazing, transcendent stuff; changed my life. Hundreds of concerts later it's still one of the best I ever saw.

  • @IwanttoliveinParis Was indeed a great concert...at the London Palladium, early 70s. There was a drone playing when we went in...the lights went down and onto a darkened stage appeared Fripp and Eno...just the amp pilot lights showing and a light over Eno's gear. Then sound was layered on the drone by Fripp...until eventually a huge wall of sound was playing...they nodded at each other, walked off stage and the huge sound continued, gradually subsiding back to the drone...

  • @IwanttoliveinParis - I was fortunate enough to grow up in LA in the 70's. I saw many transcendent concerts...me and a friend caught Robert Fripp at Tower Records touring Exposure album. We saw Gabriel at the Roxy in 1979 for PG II tour...Bruford at the Roxy 79 and 80. Etc. the list of eclectic super cool acts me and my best friend saw...is not to be believed. Gentle Giant, Genesis, Yes, Crimson, Pink Floyd (the Wall yes THE WALL), Bruford, Jon Anderson, Rush, Peter Gabriel,

  • we used to smoke angel dust an listen to this and leave the planet. king crimson used to open thier live shows with this recording, dont think most of the fans appreciated it but i did. i remember it was the long beach aditorium and i was on acid an not yet familiar with fripp & eno. when fripp did a solo his finger shadows were projected on the side of the stage an it appeared he was casting spells, or maybe i was just high.

  • Frippertronics

  • This was a great album to get "mellowed out" I can only imagine what it was like to see them together live. I know this sounds wacky but....If I am not mistaken werent the playing cards the table on the cover pictures of naked babes?

  • @phillipians you're right about the cards...Fripp's idea probably. Yes, it was a great live experience but they had to ignore some morons calling for Schizoid Man....but wall to wall sound from start to finish....

  • @doubleotwentyone I don't think the nude cards were Fripp's idea. I read somewhere that Eno was a collector of porn and there is a nude card on the cover of his "Here Comes The Warm Jets" solo LP.

  • @doubleotwentyone Those "morons" are/were people too. Stop being such a facist.

  • @sptfgpn I'm no fascist my friend...but I think people should be a little more aware of what they are going to listen to.

That was not a King Crimson concert...and if those people did not realise that then I do question their intelligence...or maybe they just liked the sound of their own voices.

  • @doubleotwentyone I see. Apologies for the F word. That was uncalled for.

  • @doubleotwentyone *laughing at the guy calling you a fascist. this is gorgeous music. Schizoid man is a masterpiece, no doubt. but this is just right.

  • @doubleotwentyone I agree. I went to see David Gilmour on the tour for his first solo album (David Gilmour, 1978). A few people shouting the names of Pink Floyd songs were annoying, to me and to DG.

  • @sptfgpn I like the neologism you invented – even if it came up by accident. "Facist" might well become a popular term for Facebook users.

  • @sptfgpn calling someone a moron is not fascistic

  • @sptfgpn You sir, need to properly understand the definition of fascism.

  • @JacobMorrisNinetyTwo Thank you. I'll see if I can find a book about it in my local library.

  • I think the cards may have been tarot cards, it'd fit in better with the spirit of the music and the times the album was made in.

  • I think the cards may have been tarot cards, it'd fit in better with the spirit of the music and the times the album was made in. Regards

  • @millarstoke It's clear on the LP cover that the cards are voyeuristic playing cards, not tarot cards. An example can be seen on Eno's first solo album "Here Come The Warm Jets". When "No Pussyfooting" was first released it was a fold-out LP, each of the 4 pictures of this mirrored room had different cards laid out except for the back cover where Fripp, Eno, and the cards are gone. A very spacey concept worthy of these musicians.

  • This reminds me of Cluster's "Sowiesoso" - maybe a little dreamier. It's good.

  • @grahamlaur actually to be a little more accurate, something from the second Cluster album, like "Im Suden"

  • @grahamlaur Not familiar with that,so listening now...F & E seems a little more flowing...dreamier, yes...I'll check the other one as well...

  • thank you !

  • i can still remember how floored i was hearing this in 10th grade, after midnight, on the local indie radio station, sitting at my desk. i had know idea the ambient genre even existed.

  • great album cover too.

  • taking me higher with music and then landing over and over music for runways!!!

  • This album has serious balls just for occupying the space between "Pleasure" and "Jets"....but being a work of art in it's own right? Come on, that's a bit much. I wonder if Roxy and Eno literally used up all the remaining awesomeness in the universe and sucked it out like air from a sealed room in the process. Oh, thanks a lot, guys - it's 2010 and we're SUFFOCATING in here!!!

  • This is the only music my cat will take notice of and that says a lot. The Heavenly Music Corporation can not be ignored. It grabs you and won't let go.

  • @ScootTheCat That has totally made my day ~ and we know cats are invariably right. Thanks to him/her (and you).

  • @ScootTheCat Does your cat suffer with furballs? Mine does.

  • @sptfgpn Yes my cat gets furballs now and then. I feed her pumpkin pie filling and the extra fiber helps her a lot.

  • @ScootTheCat hahaha best comment. good stuff.

  • @ScootTheCat That must be one cool cat.

  • @ScootTheCat How long has your cat been doing drugs?? Just kiddin

  • great meatatating music i think i saw my future -.-

  • No Pussyfooting was way advanced for the time. Where was this music back then? Picture what we were listening to on the radio and compare it to this. I for one have had a cassette of this from the mid 80's, advanced to a CD, and now have it on my iPod

  • whats with the spike?

  • @VinnyMcFly ...the spike...I guess it was a consequence of transferring from the vinyl...hope it didn't spoil your enjoyment...

  • @doubleotwentyone ya'll gooooooooood tafhc.

  • Hey Larry,

    Here's what you do.

Go into your bedroom at 2AM, take off all of your clothes, turn on this song, block out ALL LIGHT coming into your room (from any source) lay down on your bedroom floor completely naked (on your back) and then just VEGG OUT.

    Day Is Done.

  • yeah naked balls?

  • @r5t6y12 vegg or munch out? i say the latter :)

  • @r5t6y12 you forgot to add "and get your missus to give you a nice slow head job for the journey".

  • @wildcomfort88,

No I didn't forget to add that. I have no missus but I vegg out whenever I hear this song on STARS END (WXPN 88.5 FM) whenever they play this song during that program.

Actually I usually lay naked on top of my bed everytime I listen to this program, but I really vegg out when specific songs come on. This song is one of them.

So I don't need a missus to do that. You wouldn't either.

    (8^)

  • this is a great one! also swastika girls ! good stuff from 1973

  • Glad you liked it, this is from vinyl I've been carrying around for the past 37 years....:)

  • Thank you for posting this!

It's great to hear it on something other than the cassette tape I've been carrying around for the past 14 years. :-)

  • I don't get it..

  • @LarryRickenbacker Ok,dont worry.Try to let it get (to) you
