I kinda miss this lineup. The one I that I found the Dreaming about... It's one of my favorite bands now... I love the current lineup as well, but this one is just... It's somehow personal to me. I was badly depressed when I found the band. Helped me through inna way.

I love Stabbing Westward and this is a great cover. The Dreaming is alright, but I could sing much better than those back up vocals. Chris Hall is better than this band alone.

gnargf: The original was done by Real Life in 1983. It's been around a while. Thrice covered it in 2005, and The Dreaming followed up on it on 2008.

@gnargf neither of them wrote it. this song was written by David Sterry & Richard Zatorski of the 80s band Real Life. Every version of this song other than the one performed by Real Life is just another cover. And there are lots of them.

@gnargf Nope. The Australian group Real Life wrote the song back in '83. So many bands have covered this, like Deadstar Assembly, Thrice, Zeromancer etc...

For all the folks asking about Chris doing Stabbing Westward again, I really doubt that is ever going to happen. As much as I love SW, that band has come and gone... The way I see it is this: we should support Chris and his new band as much as possible. SW is done, and the last I heard, the rest of those guys are out of the scene altogether.
