@TheIzzyGuy depends where you are playing on the fretboard! I have to use my pinky when playing notes down the neck, but when I cross the 12th fret, the frets are too small to use my pinky so I just use three fingers

Using your pinky is not a bad habid, you SHOULD use your pinky. And that is not Slash, just his licks. Slash is half black and that hand is completely white.

I need to know if there's any way,I can put this video in a format on my computer,where I can loop the parts of it,that I'm trying to practice. These are techniques that I have always wanted to learn,and I have had some difficulty understanding. My fingers always seem to trip over each other,when it comes to riffs like this. Even though they are relatively simple "pentatonic-box" patterns. It would help even more if I could figure out how to loop the parts of this that I want to perfect. Thanks

It's not Slash himself but the tone is fuckin sweet...by the way it's a bad habit to not use your pinky...you're supposed to use it for extra reach and stuff, just don't use it for bends

Good advise to this lick.. You can move it some frets down to train pinky bends :P This will get you far:D But when you play it in the 12-15 fret i suggest you don't use your pinky, cause of the small difference..

In almost all cases you are NOT supposed to use your pinky... but if you absolutely have to you can, just a really really bad habbit to get into... but yeah this one you don't want to use the pinky :)

Using the pink finger is the best thing you can do and learn. Pretty much all the guitarists on the top 10 list are using their pink fingers, and also very useful if you're playing fast, like Yngwie Malmsteen and Paul Gilbert. Also, it looks more professional.

true but the reason why Slash did it was because of Axl's voice.. when axl reeches his high tones he couldnt go more up so they decided to take it half step down.. like now Slash uses normal tuning and in the song "This I Love" it is tuned half down cuz of Axl's voice again xD

it really rather depends on the song your doing... in this case... not really... hammer ons and pull offs only make these sound smoother and less rough... :)

well kinda, i start of by by bending B at the 15 just like the tab here with my ring finger, then when the timing is right, i use my index to hit 12 on E and i quickly go back and bar the b string at the 12 to do the pull off (i do a pull off) from 15 to 12 again. and then you dont really need that much more stretch room to use your middle finger to bent 14 on G i'll try to post a video. hope i helped
