There was some nice ships built in Quebec, The original MV Abegweit, SS Charlottetown, John Hamilton Gray, Caribou, Frederick Carter..etc and I think these shipyards are the last in Canada to build anything bigger than a barely seaworthy navy "trawler"..which was the Caribou class over 20 years ago. It is really sad to see what has happened to shipbuilding here and worse still to see that we have sold out to second hand junk from Europe!
@SnojetSteve The M.V Ambrose Shea in 1967 also. Very expensive second hand junk, Harper and his crowd might have their dirty fingers in some European shipbuilding companies, like with Mulrooney putting all that dough into obtaining the Airbus A320's 20 years back.
