@bigblackmanswilly The Tempo marking is Presto Agitato where presto, which means quickly in Italian, in music is faster than allegro and is at least 180, if I'm not mistaken. I feel like the faster it's played, the more it fits the expression that Beethoven had built the song upon.
You don't want to wish to be able to play as Valentina does! That's not the point of music! You want to be able to play pieces that you want to play because you want to! I only care that people play because they get a thrill and not because you can play 16th note runs at 200 bpm... This is why I like Valentina's music!
I don't like this piece being played this fast. It is supposed to be a rapid tempo but her interpretation sounds rushed to me. Saying that, I also think Kempff's rendition was a tad too slow. lol. Personally I think Murray Perahia has it right, or at least as far as tempo is concerned.
Your play at P&W tonight was incredible. Thanks for getting me back to the beginning of all the populair (or POP) music. I'm already a fan! Even if I make a real different kind of music myself, I admire your play and tallent!
@THESIS100 She's all woman, married, and has a kid. In my opinion, she is the most flawless diamond amongst gems of women. I'm sure her husband would get a little perturbed about other guys saying things like that, but it is a fairly true assessment. He should thank his creator every day of the rest of his life that he bagged this intelligent beauty.
@AleifrLeifrson This is the third movement of the sonata, you are most likely thinking of the first movement which has similar themes but is much slower.
@AleifrLeifrson First of all, it isn't a song. A song is music with singing. And this is just a different part of the composition; the third movement, to be exact.
Fake. At 1:39 her hair changes from being down to being tucked behind her ear and then at 1:50 it's back to normal. Still impressive, but a little sad because this proves that it all wasn't done in one run.
@Oryix it's likely because they had just one or two video cameras and needed to record more than once to have more angles to cut between. Excusable as standard filmographic technique.
219 people are completly jelous of you talent when your a insperational artist who takes piano to the next level, you great at piano and i wish you the best of luck your amazing and dont let those 2219 jerks get to you :)
