Nice sound. Check my videos of my true point to point DuoTone amps that are a tweed and a blackface Deluxe in one amp plus some more modsand tweaks. It takes 6v6s or 6L6s and use the fat sounding 6SL7s.Also check the Pure Tone page in Facebook for more info and pics. Thank you.
Sam - if you don't mind me asking - what was your Deluxe settings for this clip? Channel used, volume knobs and tone knob? Will try to re-create this tone with my rig. Best, Jonas - Sweden
I love Telecasters, Fender, G&L ASAT actually the true post CBS Fender, Tokai whatever,..... they sound so sweet and this brilliant musician has brought this one to life, WELL PLAYED !
" This old rocker will rock until the good lord comes a callin'! " ...and then the Good Lord's angels will drop harpsichords and jaws to listen at Sam playing forever.
Man you are something else..you can play anything...if your not a studio musician you should..also Fender needs you and that orange Tele to demo there new amps...I'd love to here your playin through there new Super Sonic V22.
Reallmente tus videos son de lo mejor que hay en la red, soy guitarrista aficionado y estoy aprendiendo muchas cosas con tus presentaciones. Este en particular es genial, eres un guitarrista excelente. Gracias.
@ChineseR0ck yes it would. it is similar to the amp that keith used (he used a 57 twin). the three amps i would choose between would be the 57 champ, 57 tweed deluxe, and the 57 twin. the 57 champ is $999, the 57 tweed deluxe is $1999, and the 57 twin is $3000. if you can afford it, go for the 57 twin, loud enough for gigs and it is as close as you can get to keith richards sound (along with a tele) without being him
i am really astonish, about how this guy plays, i am a tele man, and a fender amp too, but this is what i "try" to do, of course i don´t get it like him.
That is some great playing! The sound on your videos is very good. The tone really comes through intact. I also like the way you set your shots up with a nice, clear view of the fretboard so people can see what you're playing. It looks like you've put a lot of work and thought into these presentations (as well as some inspired playing) and the end product reflects that. Very enjoyable. Thank you.
definately the best ive seen and heard.watched all your vids.get a chance check out dedepick version of guitar boogie breakdown that tele of yours would sound great doin that
That was just plain FUN. Great playing, great feel, and great tone all through. And if you really want to claim you "choked" a couple of times, that's fine - choking is a perfectly normal feeling to express musically, too, and you even did that musically!
This is the kind of video that you want to show your friends and say "check this out!". I'm trying to learn it. but it's going to take a while. Many thanks for all the effort you put into this channel.
Great job. Not only musically but visually. The black background and black shirt makes it looke like a suspended guitar with two arms/hands. Very cool. Great playing and killer tone. I'm a fan.
whoever you are , im thouroughly impressed . im going to study all your vids. maybe someday i'll shred a tele like that . im inspired and depressed all at the same time. I've been searching the tube for vids that show Paisleys playing ( especially on the play album ) and found nothing , lol dont think ill need to look much further, yer the man. pleeeaase keep em posted this will take me some time -joe
you are awesome, i would pay to see you play. I could not make it to see Brian Setzer Friday night, but found you on here...and your sound and playing is my favorite, amazing, i hope you keep making more videos, thanks!!!!
OK, I am sold. I have a 51 Nocaster build in the works right now and I guess I will have to give the Lindy Fralins a whirl....GREAT TONE/FEEL. Also, did you build the 5E3? I am growing tired of guitar builds and the Nocaster should be my last for quite awhile. I am considering a 5E3 project but am a bit nervous as I have never built an amp before. If I do, I will go with Mission...never heard anything but good about them.
@SingleCoilVoodoo - It was the second amp I built. the first was a 5F1 Champ that was no challenge at all. Nothing to be nervous about. If you built model kits when you were a kid, like me, no sweat. I had/have a lot of highly detailed kits that made it super easy. If you build when, hit me up.
Outstanding - I appreciate the help. It will probably be a couple of months before I can venture down that road due to the current guitar build. I will definitely hit you up for the pictures. THANKS
When I first saw this I thought it was kind of plain. The more I watch it, the more I am intrigued! Tons of multi string licks. My cudos to some very interesting playing. Love the black look too, Makes watching the licks so easy. Would you consider putting a blues thing together like this one?
I fucking love this jam man, I keep coming back for more! I love how you add when the saints go marching in. Your great bro!
