Pau is a top 5 center and he probably has the most complete game of any of them. But centers are not required or expected to shoot jumpers. He plays next to Andrew Bynum and still gets 10-11 rebounds, he actually makes his free throws, has few turnovers, gets blocks, and can pass the ball well. People don't rank him that highly because he doesn't focus only on dunking(howard, chandler, hibbert, etc.) cause centers are expected to score as efficiently as possible and shooting doesn't help.
@JamalGoldberg probably one of the best 4 offensively, but he is nowhere complete because of lacking defensive awareness. he is bad at rotating and he is also bad at help defense. duncan is probably a more complete 4
i cant believe ya really talking bout cp3 having no rings... yes its true, but he played for the fucking hornets!!!! no other pg in the league would win a ring playing with the exact team with the same rosters he played with all those years.. U need to the right talent and supporting cast around u to win a championship, no matter how good u are
@tonymontanadecoca Paul is not a 2 guard. He is the primary ball handler and the best ball handler at that. How can you say he is a SG? That makes no sense. Also, the only stat Rondo has that's better than Paul this year is one assist more per game. Paul has more points, steals, better shooting percentage, less turnovers. I'll take Chris Paul, you can have Rondo.
@ihatewonders Yes no player is the best at every area, but when a player is consistently on top of most of the areas, then it's safe to assume that player is best overall.
Ah... you know what went down? Big spanish canoli shootin the shit with webster, as Kobe comes in.. "Guys knock it off, you immature coots"! Not worth bitching, get on with it..
That's kobe.. ALL about the game, none about the BS.
@DrMeh3 I am a fan of LeBron but I don't think rings make the player. Example: Luke Walton has a ring, Vince Carter/Steve Nash do not. So is Walton better?
REAL TALK! The rumor on that lil altercation between Pau and CP3 was that Pau told CP3 were gonna bust your ass again next time we see u,so CP3 replied with, that's if they don't trade your bitch ass LOL. So they kept jawing at each other all the way down to the other side of the court. LMAO.

@mykEn320 "Atleast he has rings" Hope you didn't mean that as a way to make Gasol seem better and demean Paul. We (meaning people with half a mind) know rings don't mean much. Patrick Ewing ? No ring. John Stockton ? No ring. Dominique Wilkins ? No ring. Allen Iverson ? No ring. Tracy Mcgrady ? No ring. You mean to tell me all those players' talents are diminished by their lack of ring ? @gabepizza Idiot. Whether it's because a guy has a bad supporting cast, because there was someone even better on an other team, or someone a bit better with a bit better a supporting cast, or even loads of others, there are tons of reasons someone great can have no ring. It sometimes, as in not always, means there was someone even better on another team. Does the fact that someone somewhere is better make a player not as good as if that wasn't the case ? No it doesn't. So again : Take a hike.
@gilless429 in iverson's case, i think the ring-argument actually has some weight. of course you could argue he spent most of his time on a mediocre sixers team and still led it to finals, but i'm pretty sure iverson could try for 20 years and not win a ring. his own individualism always stood in his own way. same could be said about steve francis.
@staxstix True, he wasn't good enough in teamplay. He played for himself and often didn't come to training, sometimes even games, until half of it was done. But the ring argument is still stupid even here. His lack of ring is not testament to his lack of skill in the teamplay department. That A can cause or induce B, doesn't mean that if B is true then A is true. In other words just because "he lacks skill" can cause "he doesn't have a ring" that he doesn't have one doesn't mean he lacks skill.
@gilless429 i agree. it's also not really a testament to his skills but to whether or not he has the qualities of being complete enough to be a champion, which i would negate in iverson's case. in contrast to some, where it simply didn't happen like ewing, malone, barkley. but i agree on your analogy criticism. if we argue like that, scalabrine would be better than lebron, and derek fisher one of the greatest pg ever.
@gilless429 now my dude that right there is a solid argument but we all know that people with rings have better resumes especially since they were key components of the championship.
@gilless429 THANK YOU, in all sports there are bad (reeaaaally bad) players who are part of championship TEAMS and then there are GREAT players that never won a title. Why isn't being a great player good enough?
@SleepingAtTheMovies Because average people are dumb. I'd say that's a safe bet. Thank YOU for the answer to my comment, now I know that there are actually other people who think the same as I do. I don't feel as lonely all of sudden.
@daveminhas First of all perhaps you should take into account the fact that the ring misconception actually helps with the not being mentioned in top tens of five thing. You know, just maybe ? Then, Patrick Ewing, John Stockton, and the such, are often considered to be among the top 50 ever. Maybe even top 20. So yeah they're not often mentioned as top 10 or 5 players. How does that hurt my argument ? Rings on their own mean absolutely nothing is what I was saying, nothing less, nothing more.
@HandDownMansDown Why not ? He used to great, as good as a Kobe or Lebron, and he didn't get a ring even then. I'm sorry but that makes him a valid player for my examples. You think I'm unaware of his injury problems ? I'm one of the biggest T-Mac fans, I've watched nearly every game he played with Atlanta this season. He's not what he used to be no. But that doesn't mean he wasn't at one point very good, and still didn't get rings. After all John Stockton probably isn't very good anymore, huh ?
@Bfighting24 I'm a man. I have no "period". But why did you think I was on one, exactly ? With this great new Youtube layout, I can't know which comment you answered to with that.
@jpvan23 Yes. Why ? Fisher's a great role player, often underestimated because of the presence of both Kobe and Gasol on the same team. But why did you say that ?
@wtfmynig Not in the least. If you didn't know, T-Mac had a few great years before injuries changed him. He could easily rival with the likes of Lebron, Kobe, etc, then. And he still didn't get any ring. So a great player, even if not for his whole career (after all very few players have been great their whole career), who didn't get a ring. Kinda fits into the type of player I needed for my example don't you think ?
@gilless429 Patrick ewing, john stockton , dominique , allen iverson = hall of fame
tracey mcgrady will not be. so it doesn't fit into your example. Mcgrady was great a few years but his injuries keep have hurt his career.. I wouldn't put T-mac's name that high ...just stating facts i agree with everyone but t-mac....t-mac is more along the lines of Grant Hill and Penny hardway great players plague by injuries
@wtfmynig First, whether they're Hall of Fame caliber is not a requirement for my analogy to work, being great players who didn't get ring, as I said, is the only real one. Then, Iverson, Hall of Fame material ? Not as far as I'm concerned.
MAYBE CHRIS PAUL IS NOT SOFT BUT HE SURE DID WHINE HIS WAY OUT OF NEW ORLEANS. AS AN NBA SUPERSTAR YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO ATTRACT OTHER PLAYERS TO COME AND PLAY WITH YOU NOT BAIL ON YOUR TEAM TO GO PLAY FOR ANOTHER ONE. TO ME THAT'S WEAK PLAIN & SIMPLE.
THROW ALL THESE PLAYERS IN THE WEAK BUCKET.....LEBRON, DERON WILLIAMS, CHRIS PAUL, AND SOON DWIGHT HOWARD. BUNCH OF CRYBABIES UNTIL THEY GET WHAT THEY WANT.
@detroit4lyf lmao u think paul is never gna have a ring? the clippers have a better chance this year than the lakers and they're window gets bigger and bigger as the time goes. the lakers on the other hand are fading and fading fast. gasol doesn't even deserve those rings. doesn't do shit in the finals except get criticized about playing soft. everyone knows he's soft even kobe. u can even read kobes lips he jus says "well.." and stands there and accepts that gasol is soft.
@retardo110 haha ya the clippers are gonna win the title lol i just pissed myself retardo, you must be a laugh at parties
maybe they had a chance with billups but that's a longshot now
gasol has already proven he's tough when he needs to be, they wouldn't have won 2 titles without him taking a lot of punishment, esp against garnett/davis/perkins and dwight howard, and the others along the way
@demondayzzz thats why the clippers are doing better than the lakers? oh ya clearly gasol was great last playoffs when the lakers got swept and gasol put up a measly 12 points per game. stop living in the past u dum ass lakers r about done. okc, miami, chicago and the clippers are all taking over. i'll always remember gasol for getting bitched at about being soft in phil jackson's last playoff series. bynum guarded dwight, and perk and garnett were injured when lakers won.
@ComodoroNorrington Paul can never be as smart as Pau, yeah soft, maybe, but Gasol has a lot of things going for him outside the hardwood unlike CP3. Talking trash are for thugs. CP3 showed no class on that instance.
@jespacey maybe? gasol is the softest power forward there is. who cares if gasol is smarter off the court.. cp3 has more basketball iq in his pinky then gasol has overall. also, it ain't too classy to push a guy; especially when he pushes him on the back of the head.
The biggest mistake in the history of the Los Angeles Lakers is Mike Brown. Period. Doing iso with Lebron at the top and having him dominate the game by making his own decisions is NOT coaching. He didnt do shit for the cavs. And hes not doing shit for LA
theres just something about black people they think they can take anybody on no matter how much bigger the guy is compared to him its almost suicidal if you ask me.
@TheGr8Hall My username is a tribute to the late great Mac Dre but you wouldn't know who that is you fucking punk ass bitch watch your mouth. Are you gonna sit here and say that Pau Gasol wouldn't smash on Chris Paul?

@gilless429 i agree. it's also not really a testament to his skills but to whether or not he has the qualities of being complete enough to be a champion, which i would negate in iverson's case. in contrast to some, where it simply didn't happen like ewing, malone, barkley. but i agree on your analogy criticism. if we argue like that, scalabrine would be better than lebron, and derek fisher one of the greatest pg ever.
staxstix 2 weeks ago
@gilless429 now my dude that right there is a solid argument but we all know that people with rings have better resumes especially since they were key components of the championship.
PS: im not the guy u replied to
aristides1002 2 weeks ago
@gilless429 THANK YOU, in all sports there are bad (reeaaaally bad) players who are part of championship TEAMS and then there are GREAT players that never won a title. Why isn't being a great player good enough?
SleepingAtTheMovies 1 week ago
@SleepingAtTheMovies Because average people are dumb. I'd say that's a safe bet. Thank YOU for the answer to my comment, now I know that there are actually other people who think the same as I do. I don't feel as lonely all of sudden.
gilless429 1 week ago
@gilless429 How many times do you hear any of their names in the top 10 players all time, let alone 5...?
Every player that gets mentioned as a all time top 10 player has won multiple rings,
now im not saying their talent is diminished, but rings are a huge measuring stick along with other things when ranking players.
daveminhas 1 week ago
@daveminhas First of all perhaps you should take into account the fact that the ring misconception actually helps with the not being mentioned in top tens of five thing. You know, just maybe ? Then, Patrick Ewing, John Stockton, and the such, are often considered to be among the top 50 ever. Maybe even top 20. So yeah they're not often mentioned as top 10 or 5 players. How does that hurt my argument ? Rings on their own mean absolutely nothing is what I was saying, nothing less, nothing more.
gilless429 1 week ago
@gilless429 Rings are what differentiate the good from the greats...
daveminhas 1 week ago
@daveminhas Couldn't agree less. Derek Fisher ? Good. A few rings. Tracy Mcgrady when he was healthy ? Great. No ring.
gilless429 1 week ago
@daveminhas That's not even close to true. First person to come to mind is Robert Horry who has like. . . .7 rings with Lakers and Spurs.
kgriner66 1 week ago
@gilless429 please don't include tracy mcgrady because he shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as those guys, unfortunately due to injuries.
HandDownMansDown 1 week ago
@HandDownMansDown Why not ? He used to great, as good as a Kobe or Lebron, and he didn't get a ring even then. I'm sorry but that makes him a valid player for my examples. You think I'm unaware of his injury problems ? I'm one of the biggest T-Mac fans, I've watched nearly every game he played with Atlanta this season. He's not what he used to be no. But that doesn't mean he wasn't at one point very good, and still didn't get rings. After all John Stockton probably isn't very good anymore, huh ?
gilless429 1 week ago
@gilless429 SOMEONE'S ON THEIR PERIOD!!!
Bfighting24 1 week ago
@Bfighting24 I'm a man. I have no "period". But why did you think I was on one, exactly ? With this great new Youtube layout, I can't know which comment you answered to with that.
gilless429 1 week ago
@gilless429 well fisher has many rings too
jpvan23 1 week ago
@jpvan23 Yes. Why ? Fisher's a great role player, often underestimated because of the presence of both Kobe and Gasol on the same team. But why did you say that ?
gilless429 1 week ago
@gilless429 agree =) , thats not the point , bryant cardinal got a ring last year .
TheJrSmooth 1 week ago
@gilless429 tracey mcgrady FAIL
wtfmynig 1 week ago
@wtfmynig Not in the least. If you didn't know, T-Mac had a few great years before injuries changed him. He could easily rival with the likes of Lebron, Kobe, etc, then. And he still didn't get any ring. So a great player, even if not for his whole career (after all very few players have been great their whole career), who didn't get a ring. Kinda fits into the type of player I needed for my example don't you think ?
gilless429 1 week ago
@gilless429 Patrick ewing, john stockton , dominique , allen iverson = hall of fame
tracey mcgrady will not be. so it doesn't fit into your example. Mcgrady was great a few years but his injuries keep have hurt his career.. I wouldn't put T-mac's name that high ...just stating facts i agree with everyone but t-mac....t-mac is more along the lines of Grant Hill and Penny hardway great players plague by injuries
wtfmynig 1 week ago

BUNCH OF CRYBABIES UNTIL THEY GET WHAT THEY WANT.

lmao at kobe!! after cp3 says he's soft kobe just gives up on arguing cause he knows he lost.
retardo110 2 weeks ago
@retardo110 or maybe its because gaol has more rings than cp3 will ever have..?
detroit4lyf 2 weeks ago
@detroit4lyf lmao u think paul is never gna have a ring? the clippers have a better chance this year than the lakers and they're window gets bigger and bigger as the time goes. the lakers on the other hand are fading and fading fast. gasol doesn't even deserve those rings. doesn't do shit in the finals except get criticized about playing soft. everyone knows he's soft even kobe. u can even read kobes lips he jus says "well.." and stands there and accepts that gasol is soft.
retardo110 2 weeks ago
@retardo110 haha ya the clippers are gonna win the title lol i just pissed myself retardo, you must be a laugh at parties
maybe they had a chance with billups but that's a longshot now
gasol has already proven he's tough when he needs to be, they wouldn't have won 2 titles without him taking a lot of punishment, esp against garnett/davis/perkins and dwight howard, and the others along the way
demondayzzz 2 weeks ago
@demondayzzz thats why the clippers are doing better than the lakers? oh ya clearly gasol was great last playoffs when the lakers got swept and gasol put up a measly 12 points per game. stop living in the past u dum ass lakers r about done. okc, miami, chicago and the clippers are all taking over. i'll always remember gasol for getting bitched at about being soft in phil jackson's last playoff series. bynum guarded dwight, and perk and garnett were injured when lakers won.
retardo110 2 weeks ago
@retardo110 haha only a retard would think pau was soft. wait a second...
demondayzzz 1 week ago
@demondayzzz lol that was good what u did there with my name. dude gasol is soft, so let's jus agree to disagree cuz this is a waste of time.
retardo110 1 week ago
Fuckin' moron Paul...
ComodoroNorrington 2 weeks ago
@ComodoroNorrington Paul can never be as smart as Pau, yeah soft, maybe, but Gasol has a lot of things going for him outside the hardwood unlike CP3. Talking trash are for thugs. CP3 showed no class on that instance.
jespacey 2 weeks ago
@jespacey maybe? gasol is the softest power forward there is. who cares if gasol is smarter off the court.. cp3 has more basketball iq in his pinky then gasol has overall. also, it ain't too classy to push a guy; especially when he pushes him on the back of the head.
retardo110 2 weeks ago
@jespacey so what ur trying to say is that CP3 is a thug and gasol is a bitch??
jg714100 2 weeks ago
The biggest mistake in the history of the Los Angeles Lakers is Mike Brown. Period. Doing iso with Lebron at the top and having him dominate the game by making his own decisions is NOT coaching. He didnt do shit for the cavs. And hes not doing shit for LA
