You are so right about Henning, he was the best!! Blaine and Angel really suck as they dress weird and do not know how to act! They are so phony and always have their people help them to do their so-called magic. They give Magic a bad name and so does the Trashy Masked magician wannabe!
I just watched this show for the first time since my blurry taped version from the 80's... just as amazing as it was back then! This guy is a MASTER! I love you Doug!
@kcufmalsi Saw it at the Cort Theatre (Broadway) 3 times, with 3 different magicians- Henning as well as Jeff Mylett and Joe Abaldo. Sadly, all 3 are gone now. Great memories.
I think what made Henning so amazing, was due, in part, to his childlike sense of wonder. The magic was as suprising and fun for him as it was for the audience. Bless this man... He has always been one of my favorites! A true artist and he is very missed! Rest well, Doug!
Wow your so0 smart....Do you yell at the back at the theatre and yell " HE GETS KILLED IN THE END!!!" also..Just let it be magic hho cares how he did it...Oh I guess only you the smartest person ever!!!
thats awesome. my first thought was that it was all just a costume change, where they each had a different outfit on under the set of first clothes and came back out a seperate identites. but that makes much more sense, since the audience probably would have noticed the difference.
I saw Doug perform this in person in 1983. In person it blows your mind. I also took a wonderful workshop from him and learned some great, simple illusions. He was a great guy that got a little too involved with the TM movement.
Criss Angel is nothing! they use camera tricks! he is a no talent magician! Blaine, Angel and other wannabes are not here to grace us with these kind of entertainment! Doug henning, a true master, thank you! We will never forget!
Even if you can figure this trick out, what I can't figure out is how he changed his clothes in that time. He was an incredible magician, and my favourite.
I used to live in Appleton wisconsin (birthplace of Houdini) and I saw this done not even 3 feet in front of me. Not the stage was 3 feet away, they were not even on a stage. I still have absolutely no idea how its done. absolutely amazing.
You're half-right. _Erich Weiss_ was born in Budapest, Hungary. But, he adopted his stage-name in Appleton. So, in that sense only was Houdini "born" in the Badger State.
@irican01 I just noticed that you replied to this. If you haven't seen it yet, it's in his promo video closer to the end. It's pretty incredible. The video is called " Terry Evanswood The Wonders of Magic at WonderWorks.avi"

James Douglas Dart of United Media Studios, Thornhill, Ontario, Canada,
brought in a 24 track recording studio, on a truck, to do this movie
which was the first time, to my knowledge, that anyone, ever did anything like that
i wish, i could remember, the exact year ~ and, i wonder, if i still have my copy
of the whole film, the movie was ...shot live for 3 days with a live audience,
quite an undertaking at that time -

The changing of clothes was good, I suspect he had the white clothes on under the other outfit, which was a "rip-a-way".
