@143yamaha  Possums are white? I think you are thinking of American Opossums (usually pronouced possum). In Australia they are very different, like cat-sized squirrels. I lived in Sydney for two years and had friends that would go at night to the Botanical Gardens or Hyde Park to feed bread and fruit to the possums that come down from their holes. There is no mystery here....just a bunch of ignorance.
