@Cleopatra2011able I don't think she like big arena gigs. She probably couldn't hear herself or the band. She usually looked happier in smaller venues or on television. Maybe there we other things going on, too.

I don't mind so much the people singing over her. They were just trying to show her how much they loved her song by singing along. This was much better that the people of Dubai who booed her and made fun of her while she tried to sign. Still if I was at the concer, I'd rather hear Amy signing than the audience. I don't mind people singing through part of a song but not the whole thing. This audience at least seemed to appreciate her being there.

@ma73 So, to your thinking, there are only two ways to enjoy a concert: like a funeral, or like a sing-along. Could it be that you're setting up a false paradigm and pretending there is an "either/or" choice to be made between two extreme positions? It is not uncommon for an artist to invite the audience to sing along during selected portions of a song; would another option be to wait for such an invitation? That would require class, self-control and taste.

@Believerification If a guitarist were performing solo on stage---would it be ok to bring along a guitar and noodle his licks while he's performing so you can show him how much you like him? Obviously not. You cannot enjoy a vocalist's performance while singing over them. What you're enjoying is your memory of the recording. I realize you'll need some time to evolve.
