Well, the reporters may have been abused, I am not sure about the reporter at the accident site, but as for the guy pushed into the street, that was at the Democratic Convention and the reason he was attacked was that he was standing outside a hotel where the big money contributors were going to meet with Democrat Party bigwigs, and the donors did not want the public to know their identities. Of course the cop was wrong but it's very unlikely this was a random act.

The problem is as follows: wreck happens, cops respond. we hire cops to take charge of situations like these. meanwhile, across the road, the media sets up camp, creating further chaos. cops respond in an unkind manner (hyper-vigilant crisis mode) the scene has now become a brawl caused by defending your rights. Nice going! I like journalism, but if you (me) are creating a distraction at an accident, the cops will probably not want to chit chat about your rights. They want you gone.

to add to my previous post also i have witnessed not only Police department vehicles but also Border Patrol vehicles go to this drug house,pull to the back of the house so as not to be seen from the street then leave with no one else but the driver of the vehicle and this has happened numerous times

I have reached a point of such hatred for police, that I actually am happy when I hear that a cop was killed on the job. When the 6:00 news comes on and they cry over some cop getting killed, I think, score one for the people!

Freedom of the press DOES mean that you can film with a camera wherever you want, on PUBLIC PROPERTY, but not on PRIVATE PROPERTY.

That's why the reporter was saying that he had been on the sidewalk, on PUBLIC PROPERTY, not obstructing traffic like the police was by pushing him into the street.

To physically make someone "obstruct traffic" and then claim to "enforce the law" with an arrest, is more like thuggery than law enforcement.

Yeah... Understanding law is both a hobby and something that pays my bills. Again, holding a camera doesn't mean that laws no longer apply. Does that mean that cops never go out of line and overstep the boundries? No, but it also doesn't mean that reporters never cross the line. A crime scene is a crime scene, impeeding traffic is impeeding traffic. etc. etc.

Why are reporters not respected in the US? Maybe its because many don't report the news honestly. At the Dayton Tea Party on April 15, 2009, 8500 (police count) people attended. Dayton Daily News reported 2000 and denigrated the intelligence of those there.

At Dayton Tea Party at Brookfield Park July 3, 5000 people (police count) attended. Channel 2 reported 1000 and showed pictures before the crowd gathered. Perhaps if news sources reflected reality people might care for them.

The book has over 100 ideas, not just the 3 on the video. It recommends that you make at least 10 stashes so the chance of bad guys finding them all are very small. Privacy should be respected and given to the person being prosecuted if they don't want it filmed. The police, court and lawyers should not have that choice, they are public servants and there actions must no be hidden. We have it backwards, the Judges and cops get to decide if you can film instead of the victim. The victims freedom is on the line and they should have the choice if they want to be filmed or not.

The ABC reporter that was pushed into the street by the cop was doing a special at the DNC in Colorado called "Follow the Money". They were filming the corporate people that contributed to the DNC, and commenting how the same exact people showed up at the RNC (Republican National Convention). The exact same corporate sponsors paid for both political conventions. Democrats and Republicans work for the same people. Wake up America and vote Libertarian.
