The problem with PK was that they changed the characters attitudes. Their acting was fine, and Hani's bedroom was like a billion times prettier, but it's not enough to make up for making her just like every other Korean female lead character (I've seen it enough!). Of course there are many things I like better in PK, like the father, brother, sets, music, (Kim Hyun Joong!!), and that it's not so long. That's still not enough for me to change my mind, though.

i have already seen the korean version and i have heard that this version is much better so instead of watching Playful Kiss again i decided to watch this.. i prefer how the guy rejected the girl in Playful Kiss more than this one.. i also like the actors and actresses in Playful Kiss more.. but who knows, maybe as i watch this i will end up liking them.. the only actor here that i know is Jiro Wang and i love him to bits.. tbh i did not know any of the korean actors as well..

@reya93 Keep watching trust me. I'v seen both versions and the Korean actors are hot and all, but the acting doesn't even compare. I fell in love with this one because the acting was so convincing and it just seemed smoother. Although there were times i couldnt watch parts because i was so embarrased, but thats what makes a drama good =) Just don't let looks get in the way because a lot of people always base it off that instead of story flow and acting. I think you will like this better =)

@reya93 I've seen both, and I like this one a lot more. Hyun Joong played his part better than Joe Cheng, though. (Maybe because his appearance is more believable?) I saw this years ago and I was really looking forward to PK, but then it cut out almost ALL of the best parts of the drama. I don't just like it b/c I saw it 1st. I loved Meteor Garden before I saw Boys Before Flowers, but BBF is now tied as my favorite drama with this one. The mother is also A LOT more lovable in this version.

@dirulovely i wrote that comment when i have just started watching it but now that i have finished They Kiss Again as well.. i like both It Started With A Kiss and Playful Kiss but i love They Kiss Again best.. it has, as we filipinos say it "kilig factor" which is like it gives you butterflies.. i don't like the ending though.. it was too sad then it suddenly finished.. i've already said this to @anime0pop but i think Joe and Ariel have more chemistry.. they seem more like a real couple..

@reya93 I know, I love their chemistry. I do wish it wasn't such a huge cliff hanger, but it's because the manga artist died and even that's unfinished. I've heard some rumors that there is going to be a 3rd season. I hope they're true. And yeah, ISWAK is great, but They Kiss Again is definately the best. It's so dramatic and sweet. It's one of the very few dramas I didn't skip through to get to the end.

I think, the selling point of playful Kiss is the popular actor Kim Hyun Joong (BSJ) but he hardly move in kissing scenes ( so-so, ok lang), while in ISWAK its definitely the kissing scenes and so many kilig moments (winner).

Usually the characters are very old-fashioned, and the meanings of the proverbs are very hard to understand if you haven't studied them, but educated people are supposed to know them all. This one basically means "someone who has demonstrated that they're really useless/don't have much ability," so that makes it even more embarrassing for her that she didn't know what it meant!
