I would say, Ex Aequo. Osipova, Miss Lightspeed , is an exemplary dancer and Sylvie Guillem, no less. Both divine, both spectacular. One is on the beginning of her career, the other almost on the end.

I've always preferred the french style to the russian style. And Sylvie manages to capture the french style at its absolute pinnacle. the gracious, flowing, yet completely controlled movements, the techinical prowess, the elegant lines....the class and sobriety... mwah! love u sylvie!

Whaaaaaaaa ........Sylvie dances this like a floor exercise ...... you got to be kidding???. Isnt this a rehearsal ? Dance videos clips on youtube are not always synchronized. with the music spot on . And all performing arts have a margin of error .....thats a given . People are Jaded

She does not have the timing quite right. Have a look at Maya Plisetskaya some time. She always gets the timing right, and dances it like a ballet, not a floor exercise.

I have seen her and shes very good as Kitri but I prefer Sylvie in a lot of other ballets (especially contemporary ones :)

Yes. You are right. Sylvie is very good on contemporary ballets. I still think that Maya had a timing and musicality which was second to note for a ballerina. Of course there is not much material around for the greats like Legnani who danced for the Russian Imperial Ballet.
