It gets better! Such a great video, do glad that todays lgbt youth can be themselves and not have to shelter it from the world as generations before us did. Thank you for this video.
I'd like to congratulate all the people who have commented on this video. Nobody has resorted to name calling, unwarranted attacks, or escalation. We all have had our say about our issues with things said in this video but, at least at this point, this video has no dislikes. We can criticize individual statements while supporting the overall message.
Just to press the point though, the B does stand for Bisexual.
Let's remember the B for bisexual and Q for queer! Bisexuals are often excluded or forgotten and that only makes it harder and harder for bisexuals to own their identity (if it doesn't exist to anyone else. Thanks for listening!
Thank you so much for being out. Every out politician who puts a public face on being queer, and shows the US that a queer person can serve their country and live a "normal" life helps to shatter the stereotypes. But it hurts to have you too, practice biphobia. I don't believe there are any out bisexuals at your level, but there are Kate Brown, Oregon's Secretary of State, Micah Z. Kellner, NY State Legislature, Kyrsten Sinema, Arizona State Senate, who may run for the House next year, & others
As a Bisexual man and military vet of a time when people got discharged for their sexuality, I understand the frustration that they are talking about, but they MUST remember that there are Bisexuals out there and the fact that the Gay/Lesbian community tends to call us, semi-officially, "unsure" or "fence-sitters" or whatever other euphamism for "you don't really count" is an insult.
Just in case you missed the point, the "B" in LGBT stands for Bisexual. It doesn't stand for "not sure". We Bisexuals are sure of our orientation, and we know it only gets better when we stand up for ourselves.
Great message, ruined by (hopefully) unintentional Biphobia.
While I'm sure we all appreciate the nice gesture the LGBT Equality Caucus is making, we have to ask, exactly what did they think the "B" in LGBT was there for, decoration?
If nothing else perhaps they should keep in mind that according the the latest studies by the William's Institute the majority of Queer Citizens in the USA are Bisexual.
And Congressman Cicilline we are very VERY SURE of who we are.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they did this. I just don't understand why so many LGBT people, organizations, representatives, consistently forget/ignore the "B".
How nice of them to completely ignore bisexuality. I appreciate what these people are doing, and have huge respect for the Trevor Project, but why do so many of these mention gay, lesbian, straight, transgender, but omit bisexual?
Do they not realize the incidence of bisexual suicide and discrimination is even higher than that of gay/lesbian?
Fear of rejection drives young people to commit suicide every year. As a Christian, a commandment comes to mind. Love one another. We are ALL God's children and we need to accept and take care of one another. Galatians 5:14 states, For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

@klspeer1 who cares what a christian has to say, its easy for you to be positive when your religion persecutes us every day.... christianity and its believers can go to hell...
This would have been such a great video -- and, in many ways, still is -- but the exclusion of bisexuals really stings.

the B in LGBT is for bisexual, not 'unsure'.

I agree; an A for effort, but an F for execution.
