Ok i own both 02 type s and 350 z rev up Engine ,zs are great from 06 and up,if ur having problems financially dont GET A Z ,they are fast stock ,but u dont really feel any power ,kills gas also ,parts are expensive ,now Type S 02 is really slow compared to z with bolt ons it will probably keep up,from a launch it will take a z ,but not from a roll ,they are more fun to play with and costs less money to upgrade,and are more reliable ,and u cant forget about VTEC,

lol. did u mean Celica GT-S or just GT? if you're buying a GT only, then don't get the Celica. by the way. the Celica GT-S isn't as fast as the RSX-S. Celica GT-S runs 15.1 on the 1/4 mile all day. RSX-S can run high 14's.. and RSX's k20 engine is just better than the 1.8 liter of the celica's.
i ran my friends 08z 'auto' and i was 'slightly' faster. the motor change from 06-07 was HUGE.  The 07-08z has a beast of a motor compared to the older z's.
0.5 seconds faster on the quarter mile doesn't qualify as a" beast of a motor" compared on to the older ones. The new VQ37HR, now that is something else.
the z was clearly ahead at the end! should have been ahead the whole time. I used to have a rsxs with i/h/e/ short throw/ motor mounts/ hondata so i know 1st hand that its capable of running mid to low 14s with the mods i had. a properly driven 350z stock is in the 13s. put the same amount of money from the rsx mods into the 350z and it will be a low 13 second car maybe even high 12s. I do like rsxs enough that i owned one but they are no 350z period!
My boys RSX-S runs a 13.2.. they are nasty as shit. I do know Z's are fast, because I own one and they handle well but those little ass 4 bangers are nasty

HP 330 hp @ 7K rpm Torque 270 @ 5.2k rpm.
naturally infinti is the luxury version of nissan, you pay over at the minimum $10000 for all the goodies it has. That's about it. It doesn't go as fast or handle as well compared to the 07 350z. Again in terms of performance, why would you pay "$43,500 MSRP" for a car that's slower than a "$28,120 MSRP"?

from what I can see the RSX had him the entire time.. and RWD and 4WD > FWD is actually a bunch of shit.. it all depends on the car. The 350 obviously has more torque and hp but that doesnt mean shit when it weighs a ton.. its all about your gearing and power to weight ratio where the RSX wins in that fight. Anyways put the two on an actual track involving lap racing and the RSX will own.

all you guys are stupid the G35 would never take a 350 Z, they have the same engine thats true, but that doen't mean shit the nissan quest, murano, altima 3.5 and maxima have the same engine too VQ but the 350 Z's engine is perfectly tuned for racing, the G35 is good tuned too but not enough too keep up with a 350 Z, trust me i work for nissan n' i perfectly know how all this bussines is running, about the new G37 i think it may keep up with the 350 Z, well i'm driving a 200 hp 08 SE-R Spec V!!!

HAhahaha I have an 05' Rsx type s with skunk2 exhaust and an injen short ram intake....my friend has a 350z...I'm a damn good driver and he wins every time...the 350 is a v6 for one and its stock with 298 horses....do the math...for a rsx to win it would have to have forced induction....OR it could with if it had every bolt on upgrade possible, the 350 was stock and had a 200 pound really bad driver.....

a 350Z isnt anything special...a Turbo RSX is more than enough to beat one...just take a RSX with bolt ons and a better driver mod and theres a good race compared to a stock 350Z....either way I sh*t on both cars

24K? I payed 20K for mine. Guess some people werent as lucky as me! LoL. But yeah the 350z was introduced by Nissan as one of those "I hope this car gets us outta our jam" vehicles, thats why it was priced so low. The original price was going to be about 33K but test markets showed people wouldent fall for it. So, Nissan adjusted the price and did so by putting lower quality parts. The Infiniti G36 is rock solid tho. Same maker better parts.

WOOPS! I meant the G35, Its now the G37 for this year. The Infiniti G37 is basically the same car, but priced @ 43,500 MSRP. That was the price range that they wanted to place the 350z at but for the quality and luxury that it had test markets said it was too expensive. $28,120 MSRP for the 350z. If you know your makers Infiniti & Nissan are the same. The G37 comes with 3.7-liter (3,696cc) V6, aluminum-alloy block and heads. Low-friction coated pistons. HP 330 hp @ 7K rpm Torque 270 @ 5.2k rpm.

naturally infinti is the luxury version of nissan, you pay over at the minimum $10000 for all the goodies it has. That's about it. It doesn't go as fast or handle as well compared to the 07 350z. Again in terms of performance, why would you pay "$43,500 MSRP" for a car that's slower than a "$28,120 MSRP"?

REPLY TO bbl619: I bought the RSX Type-S cause it was cheaper than the 350z, about 8k cheaper. I dont know where mcromance1 found out a 350z cost 26k at but thats a great price if you can find it. The last year that they made the RSX was in '06 and you can find that they cost 20k in kelly blue book. even less. So the price range is very different. And, the price of the 350z is "priced so low" in that it was priced 10k cheaper than they originally priced it. Let me know if you want more info.

rsx got a good launch, the driver on the Z, cant launch for shit....because of high RPM and vtech (that the Z dont have)the RSX was up..but not enough to win the race...Z got him at the end..rsx stepped on the breaks, race over...

from what I can see the RSX had him the entire time.. and RWD and 4WD > FWD is actually a bunch of shit.. it all depends on the car. The 350 obviously has more torque and hp but that doesnt mean shit when it weighs a ton.. its all about your gearing and power to weight ratio where the RSX wins in that fight. Anyways put the two on an actual track involving lap racing and the RSX will own.
