  • in guitar is most easy than play in violin!!

  • very well done indeed. I am currently learning this on classical guitar. I really like your swing version!

  • This is thr best version for sure sir! Any way for getting backing track? Tabs? Would be awesome!

  • Is there a way for getting backing track? And the tabs? It would be awesome to have them!

  • Omg omg omg omg OMFG

  • Wow!

  • My sincere respect, Sir.

  • just as good as the original

even better with the modern style

  • hahaha nice version

  • Absolutely beautiful. Bach, the master of the masters.

  • wonderfull!!!!!

  • NIceFeeling and playing!!

  • This is incredible! I need to record my version of the original! The first arpeggiated section of your version needs working on, it doesn't fit with the backing tracking..

I can't believe that your managing to play to play it all with a plectrum! It's hard enough on a classical guitar!

  • Cheers. have you checked out my trio version on the PD3withDP channel? Let me know when you upload yours. Pete

  • @PD3withDP Sounds great! But i'm not sure why you would want to bring up the second half of the arpeggios, the only reason that I can think of is that it makes it easier to play! You need huge hands to play it in normal position. Did you learn it of the Lute Suite transcription?

  • Cheers. I brought up second half of the A arpeggios because I prefer the sound. The stretches are there in the first half. This version is based on the violin partita not the lute suite. I think it works much better on violin because of the higher pitch. It gets too thick at this point with the low open A string in the guitar (Koonce) transcription and the guitar version is already a compromise.

  • @PD3withDP It gets a bit thick yeah...but I suppose you just have to compromise when you play it on the guitar. Saying that, I much prefer it being played on a classical guitar/violin as the violin just sounds scratchy. (And plus I can't play the violin!) I'm assuming that your a classical guitarist too?

  • Excellent playing and you hardly ever look at your left hand. I bet Bach himself would enjoy this.... after we explain to him what electricity is.

  • amazing i loved it....check out my conservative version...:-)

  • great job !

  • sounded great with the swing feel. great interpretation, i enjoyed watching it :)

  • Thanks. Please heck out the band version on my channel. Pete

  • whao..

There are no words to declare the feeling this music gave me Pete! Bach is my favourite componist and I like jazz a lot as well and this is a great performance. Thank you a lot!

  • badass

  • Cheers.

  • I prefer your version to many faster ones. The swinging sounded a bit exaggerated at first, but it evened out slightly to a really nice effect, nice to hear something creative with this peice. I'm thinking of learning it myself.

  • Thanks very much.

  • Thanks. Looking forward to uploading a band version soon.

  • Working on arranging overture from Cantata BWV. 29 for rock band. Compare it to this praeludium.

  • Cool! Look forward to hearing it. Nearly there with band version of BWV 1006. Will be posting soon. Pete

  • Pete, I'm amazed at the great tone here. Are you still with the Cube20X?Tube Drive model? I agree with you. The best sound on mine is the "Tube Drive" model, but I'm sill trying to

get as good a tone as you do. Keep the videos coming!

  • Hi. Yes, Tube Drive model again, with gain at 10 o'clock.

    Pete

  • Excellent ! Really like your touch/tone.

    Chris

  • Cheers Chris.

Gonna keep working on it. Hope to post a version with the band soon.

    Pete
