  • @Sandman8185 I'd like to see how the NHL would do money wise if it was based solely in Canada. I think most people would realize it's a necessity that the league has teams in the US based on money reasons alone.

  • lol the car( 1:48 ) in the bridge on the background disapears at 1:50

    editing fail

  • steve dangle rulez

  • I get what you're all saying about how much hockey matters to the players themselves but unfortunately it does come down to the fans. If you don't have fans cheering you on you don't have as much to put into the game, it's just a fact that most athletes have to face. Hockey is considered Canada's game because not only do we have the amazing players but we also have the fans going to great lengths to cheer them on. It also comes down to other countries just not caring about their teams. It's sad.

  • U.S.A were awesome. I guess that will shut us up for a while.

  • @Jeepman89

yeah they won, I admit that they deserved it, but it's still our game.

  • I hate it when people call hockey "Canada's" game. It doesn't belong to Canada, especially when over HALF the teams are in American markets. I'm an American and I love baseball just as much as I love hockey, they are both my favorite sports, but I don't treat baseball as a sport that only Americans play. It's alomst selfish that people think that hockey belongs to Canada. Maybe in heiritage. But it has become a part of American sports just as much as it is a part of Canadian sports.

  • Hockey is Canada's game! The states have their sports, but hockey is true to Canada. Sorry buddy, but Canadians created it, Canadians perfected it, and Canadians love it!

  • Sure, in a sense like that. But I think it's unfair for the hockey fans in the states to be almost shunned from the hockey world by Canadians. It may not be as popular as football, but there are certainly some strong fan bases built up in the states, and some fans that appreciate it just as much as the Canadian fans do.

  • That's fair, and I respect your love of the game, but hockey is the thing that all Canadians have in common, it brings us together and has a special place in all of our lives.

  • True. As much as I wish it was more popular on US soil, it truly isn't what it is once you pass the border up north. America has it's own sports in that regards too. A few too many Americans watch the Super Bowl every year. You don't even need to be a football fan. But I will always love hockey, with just as much passion as a Canadian person. That is, if there is never another lock out. I couldn't take that.

  • @CurlyFriesForLife Dude the fact that over half the teams are in american markets dosn't mean shit if ALL the team"s are made up of canadian players and there coaching staff is also made up of mostly canadians.

  • GO USA.

  • "Why is Canada about to win 6 straight?"

Uhhh, because NOBODY outside of North America cares about this tournament? I hate to rain on this parade, and I do want Canada to win, but let's be real here people. If tonight's game wasn't against the USA, it wouldn't be a contest. Or maybe it would be, and that's just sad.

  • I hate hearing that. This matters just as much to American, Swedish, Finnish, Russian, etc. players as it does to th Canadian players. Importance to fans is irrelevant at this point.

  • If you were a payed professional hockey player at the age of 18 in Russia or Sweden, what incentive would you have to win this tournament that nobody in your homeland cares about or watches? Same story with Finland. Nobody cares outside of our continent.

  • Why wouldn't I have an incentive to win? 1) you're representing your country whether it's the Olympics or a T-Ball tournament you have that incentive to win. 2) It's not mandatory to go if they cared more about a paycheck then they wouldn't go. 3) Once you are in a tournament why wouldn't you want to win? What incentive is there to lose? Again what the fans think is irrelvant Hockey players want to win hockey games.

  • This Tournament is almost bigger then real WC in Sweden so i think you have tiny bit wrong...
