this is one of four best tributes alongside "In This River" by Black Label Society, "Aesthetics Of Hate" by Machine Head and "Pity For A Dime" by Creed. The rest are garbage...
FINALLY! A metal band with real power and emotion. I'm tired of all the pig squealing, breakdown nutjobs, wearing their little sisters pants, focusing more time on their image than their music. Bring on dynamic, musical metal! I love power metal & stuff like this. Makes me glad to know that real musicians are still out there. Stop tuning your guitars down to DROP Q! It sounds like a gootch being wiped with steel whool then thrown into a blender. Damn! HAHA, Anyway... KIUAS! Hell yeah! RIP DIME
@Spuge12345 fuck dime?.. you are such an idiot!. kinda hard to get fucked in hell when hes kicking it above.. and if you dont like him why are you commenting about him? on a song thats dedicated to him?... because he was and still is one of the best guitarists that have lived... hates a stong emotion that people hide behind when they're jealous because they cant nearly do as much..
this is the best dime tribute ever made an then come betrayed by avenged sevonfold then any other one i think rock on dime forever remeber your honour an i wll keep playin it it till i make it like you did peace an keep it metal everone xxx]
Well Dimebag's death evoked many feelings, some felt sadness, some felt anger so there are different kinds of Dimebag tribute songs which all work for me. Besides this song is directly yet poetly about Dime, Aesthetics of Hate is about some asshole columnist who wrote shit about Dime after he had died and praised Nathan Gale for shooting Dime, so the song is kind of a "fuck you" to that columnist
i agree with you 110% man the day after Dime was killed i walked into school and my friend told me what happened. I fuckin walked home haha no way in hell i was gonna spend the day in school
Yeah I remember couple of days after Dime's death too, when I found out what happened. The feeling was weird, eventhough Dime wasn't my relative or anyone I'd personally known (sadly) the thing just kept on revolving in my head at that time. It felt just like I had lost a friend. I should have skipped school back then too, I wasn't doing any good there then when my thoughts weren't focused on school...
I went through that too and although I am able to listen to Pantera and Damageplan again some songs like "Cemetery Gates" always bring up certain feelings
Yeah In This River does that for me too, and all of my friends who are fans of Dimebag have all said the same thing about that song. That song really has a special feel in it.
thats cus asthetics of hate is also a big fuck you to a guy a wrote an article completly disowning dimes memory. Also, I thought betrayed was terable, im sorry thats just my view. I think mat shadows cant sing for shit and synb did a bad job on that guitar solo, no ofence to him as a guitarist overall though. ANYWAY this song is fucking awsome!
RIP Dime-bag Darell truly one of the best never will he be forgotten and forever will he live though the fantastic music he and his fellow band members have created. For as long as there is true metal fans (which will be forever)he will not be forgotten.
Didn't know this song was about Dimebag. The lyrics make more sense now!
I saw Kiuas on that tour with Firewind, they are awesome live! Didn't play this song though, sadly. My sister went to a different show on the same tour and she met the lead singer! :O I was soooo jealous...
R.I.P. Dimebag
The world is much more a grim place without you :(

I know the history behind Aesthetics. Never said it was a bad song, I just think that Bleeding Strings is a better tribute.

Yeah Bleeding Strings is a better tribute, I agree with you on that one

I totally thought this song was about Väinämöinen, which was why I liked it so much. Now it's partially ruined for me.
