  • Hmm... He recolored his guitar. usually it's red. To all the DNA fans out there: Listen to the "Ambitious lovers". Arto Lindsay is The Guitarist/Singer, And DNA rocks!

  • it´s portuguese, you guys. arto lived in brazil for a while.

  • Arto Lindsay (born May 28 1953, Richmond, Virginia) is an American guitarist, singer, record producer and experimental composer.

He has a distinctive soft voice and an often noisy, self-taught guitar style comprised almost entirely of extended techniques, described by Brian Olewnick "studiedly naïve ... sounding like the bastard child of Derek Bailey" ; his guitar work is contrasted frequently with gentler, sensuous Brazilian music themes.

  • @kukikeller Wasn't he in the No wave band DNA?

  • arto先生,やはり声が素敵です。

    まるで、大学教授みたい。教授っていずれ呼ばれたりして。S教授じゃないけど。

    やっぱり、異郷に失踪した佐藤薫=EP-4を探そう!

  • This song absolutely rocks.

  • What is the name of this song?

  • Jardim da Alma

  • I hear Japanese.

  • I concentrated but couldn't hear Japanese.

Good guitar sound. DNA for ever.

  • 1:20 - 1:33 is Japanese for sure:D

  • It does sound like enka or even kalaoke. But I can't make out any words.

I know DNA drummer was Japanese. Maybe Lindsay piked it up from her.

  • OK. This is what he says: Butai ni agaru iki-utsushi ni... ore no kotoba ni ehhh..... Translation: Coming up on stage is the very image of me ...to my words... It doesn't make much sense anyway. haha^^ I love this song.

  • @sanchausa Thisis me singing, Hiroshi Sunairi on that vocal

  • @sanchausa "Coming up on Stage as if it is the very image of me. Ex-to my words" I remember since I sang it as Arto asked me to translate what he said.

  • @bobbyRose Wow! You sound so good! I love that part! 今頃返事してすみません^^;

  • @Israe5l Japonês? Quanta ignorância... Eles obrigam a gente entender inglês, mas não olham um palmo à frente do nariz. It´s portuguese, guy. Open your mind and look around!!!

  • very cool. i want to hear more of his guitar work.

  • SSsuperRR

  • GRACIAS

  • Que bueno es conocer algo nuevo para mi.

    Espectacular.

  • Damn!...I was there on his first performance of Brazilian experiments , fall of 81, SOBS, New York....ARto has come a long way since then and as we can hear here, his DNA roots are alive and kicking after 25-30 years!

  • woah, what a departure from DNA...

  • Arto Lindsay definitely is one of the leaders in experimental brazillian electronica, and yet he still maintains regular pop/bossa nova musical production as well.

  • great

    really great

  • well put together thank you

  • Weird lyrics in portuguese, but these words sounds so nice together... Arto really has an ear for songs!
