7 if you include both visits to the forsaken fortress and then 8 if you want to count ganon's castle at the end but you only get 6 heart containers for this game

omg and it bothered me you didnt get that chest XD you had to get a stick that the parana things drop and light it on fire and throw it at the chest and you get a Hero Crest belt thing out of it.
