Drunkenly I searched for this after just having a horrible taste of how poeple can be in 2011 (Myself included) and I can honestly say some of these claims are outlandish and just plain scare tactical but if anything I do hope that later in life we do lose our ABUNDANT ignorance and that for some hope, we can all live in peace.... if anything I just hope that the survivors of this 'supposed' future are meaningfully more inteligent than they are today....

@cabot2jville2010 if there is an other Ice Age, it might be possible ... Though I don't know if that's gonna happen in the next 40 years ... Would be pretty fast ...

@Antiteshmis well it still wouldn't be grassland because not only is the pure sand soil not habitable for plants, but the ice age wouldn't change the amount of water that reaches the sahara

@cabot2jville2010 Well sorry, but I think that you're wrong regarding the plants in Sahara. When it rains down there, it becomes kind of like a paradise for flowers, that further ahead die due to the lack of water. Same, an oasis is basically sand and water. Second, in Saoudi arabia, they grow wheat and barley in the desert (yes, it consumes a lot of water, and that's totally counter-productive, but hey ... they got money to waste).

Then an Ice age would probably change the climate there too.
