For everyone asking that was my old truck and it was a 5.9 with just a straight pipe. I no longer have the truck cause it caught on fire =( But now i have a new one with the 6.7 which is pretty loud its self cause i took some things off =) and it does blow black smoke! just as much if not more! And it is a manuel. Thanks

It's a 5.9 Cummins for all those folks wondering. This vid was made when the 5.9 was still available. If it was the 6.7 Bluetec Cummins, then there would'nt be any smoke from the exhaust.

Yeah, but when this vid was made the DPF delete kit wasn't even on the drawing boards yet. Anyway, the first batch of 6.7's wouldn't really start showing up in full force on the lots until 4 months later, (August/Sept '07). Besides, that's a 5.9L common rail. You can tell by the sound. ;) The new 6.7 engine is 80% quieter. Even more so than a gasser now.

Yea, the 6.7 is alot quieter. My Dad's buddy just got an '08 dodge cummins mega cab its real nice, but I dont like it cause its quiet. But its still a nice truck

putting on a different exhaust has nothing to do with producing more smoke.

Nice truck though. First gear seems like a slug (or is that second) but as soon as you hit the next gear it's moving

6.7 and in a Cummins it doesn't matter if you go regular cab or quad cab...love the 07 though. I still have my hopes and dreams of actually owning a Cummins. Brand new and with a Chrysler 7/70 warranty. Cummins has about 5/100 mile warranty and covered by the Diesel Engine Limited Warranty (DELW). KICK ASS!

I'm sure they're working on it. I believe the Van Aaken is available for the 6.7.

Just called Van Aaken they say 3-4 months yet for their 6.7 tuner. DPF and electronics require a new tuner for it.
