Never ceases to amaze me the fuckwads that give thumbs down on on youtube performances. How anyone could give a thumbs down on this? Well youtube is a loser hangout I guess. Thumbs up from me....
This is really fantastic. I wish one day i can play as good as you. This is so much fun too play. I am gonna upload this too i think. But it is really marvelous
This is a great track - along with Clapton's take on Freddie King's Hideaway, this is one of my favourite early Clapton pieces. Where did you get the backing track from?
Does anyone know anything of the original James Bracken arrangement of Steppin' Out?
Great stuff - do you know where I can get a recording/clip of the original James Bracken? I'm interested in finding out how Clapton developed the number in the Bluesbreakers and later Cream.
Smokin! It's one thing to copy someone else's solo note for note (or try to, anyway!) it's another to make it your own and do it well. You have my respect.
Yes the Hot Rod Deluxe is an excellent little amp for the money. The only thing i dont like, are the overdrive channels. They just don't work for my ears. But the clean channel is ace. I've collected loads of pedals over the years, but i think that Boss BD2 is really cool, and driven through the clean channel on the fender, it sounds excellent!! :)
I'm very satisfied with the overdrive channel but I was thinking perhaps because I'm playing through humbuckers (Epiphone semi-hollow) most times. I do have a Stratocaster (Custom shop 1960 reissue) and the single coils barely have enough "oomph" for the overdrive channel alone (sounds phenomenal on "clean" though!). But I would think the over-wound "Texas Specials" on your "SRV" Strat would get you there on the overdrive by themselves.
Not really tried a humbuckered(sp) guitar through the fender!! Yes, the texas specials are pretty powerful for single coils, but it's really just an issue of volume. I would have to crank it to stevie ray levels to get it to break up as easy as the boss does! :)
Awesome! That was really really really good. I totally enjoyed it. Has the amp been modded at all?

@rlamb007 Thanks alot rlamb007! No it's a standard hot rod deluxe with a blues driver through the clean channel.

You play great, but you changed the main lick. It still works fine.

I don't suggest turnig up to "SRV levels" if you have close neighbors:D (I know I wouldn't mind, though!)
I'd like to hear/see your version of SRV's "Testify."
Play on,SixStringsDown!
