I am reading his book, PICTURES IN MY HEAD. It came today and I have laughed until i cried. I did cry when he spoke of how as a little child he was treated badly by a nun concerning some flowers. If you are a Byrne fan then it's a must read. (The picture of him on the front cover is worth the price.)

@emptinesswillcome He said that he has turned away from the Catholic church. I don't understand why he has ashes on his forehead since this was made after he turned away. He played the Devil (End Of Days) and a priest (Stigmata) in the same year. I hope that he believes in God but maybe not organized religion. He is however a beautiful creature. What surprises me most is that Ellen Barkin let him go. It would take the "Jaws of life" to pry me loose from him.

If it's not a big bruise (which I thought it was at first) then it's Ash Wednesday and he's had a marking of ash put on his forehead in the shape of a cross to mark the first day of lent.
